Description

I wrote this story over a year ago after I watched Super Show 3 in Manila. I'm not really an ELF but I love Leeteuk and the other SJ members. It was my first fanfic so I know it's not that good. And it's really short 'coz I was lazy. ^_^ Peace!

Foreword

Seoul, South Korea

Melody is taking a vacation in Korea. She accidentally bumped into someone while walking on the street alone. She’s not really good with directions. Worse, she’s in an unfamiliar country. She lost her companion at an open market because she didn’t notice that her friend didn’t follow her when she entered a girl’s accessory shop. She was trying to contact her friend through her cell phone while looking left and right so she didn’t notice a man carrying a very big box walking in the same line she was in. Before they knew it, they already collided to each other making all the things inside the box fall into the ground. The things inside the box turned out to be Super Junior merchandise.

Melody helped the man pick up all the merchandise while apologizing. “Mianhaeyo ajusshi… I didn’t see you…” she said speaking in Korean. “Gwenchana, gwenchana,” the man replied. When all the things were put into place, her phone suddenly rang. She excused herself and answered the phone.

“Hello,” she said now speaking in English. It was her lost friend. She tells her friend that she’s still in the market place looking for her. Her friend told her to meet at a certain coffee shop.

The man, while preparing to leave, was quite surprised to hear her talk so fluently in English when just a while ago she was talking to him in Korean. He decided to wait for her to finish the call before leaving. He looked at her appearance and just then he realized that she doesn’t look Korean. She has a waist length hair which was tied in a pony tail. She’s only wearing a plain white shirt, an old pair of jeans, and sneakers. She’s probably about 165 cm. and was just up to his shoulder. She’s really pretty despite her simple fashion style. He got really curious about the girl that he was listening to her every word. While listening, he learned that she’s a Filipino who’s taking a month-long vacation in the country. She just quit her former job and he wondered what it was. When she finished the call, she turned back at him, smiled, and nodded. She apologized to him again and started to leave.

“Kidaryeo agasshi,” the man called back at her. “I’m sorry if I listened to your phone call. You just got me so curious. Can I ask you a question?”

“Sure. What is it?”

“I heard a while ago that you just quit your job. What was it?”

“Ah. I used to work at our country’s Department of Foreign Affairs. I got bored of my job because all I do was office work so I quit,” she answered. It wasn’t really like her to talk to strangers, especially now that she’s in a foreign land, but there’s just something about this man that makes her feel comfortable. He’s actually not that old, probably in his early forty’s.

“Does that mean you’re looking for another job at the moment?”

“Hmmm. I haven’t decided on that yet. Probably when I finish my vacation, I’ll start looking for another one. And I’d like to find a job that would require me to use all my language skills and would allow me to travel to many places.” Why is she explaining to this man, she asked herself.

“You said language skills. I heard you speaking in English a while ago. And you are very fluent in Korean also. You are a Filipino, right?”

“Yes, that’s right. I studied Foreign Languages in college so I can speak more than eight languages fluently.”

“Wow. That’s quite impressive,” he said looking really satisfied with himself. It’s like he just found a gold mine.

Melody started saying her goodbyes again because her friend was waiting for her but the man called her back again.

“Chankanmanyo agasshi.” He gave her a card. She looked at the card and back at the man, “Lee *** ***– Super Junior Manager.” She was quite shocked for a moment before regaining her composure. She thought if this man is for real. She didn’t realize that she actually said her thoughts aloud.

“Here’s my I.D.” It says the same thing.

“If these are for real, why do you have to show it to me?” she asked him.

“It’s because I want to offer you a job.”

“Job?”

“Yes. As an English Tutor to my kids.”

“Kids?” Why does she keep on repeating his words?

“The Super Junior.”

And it all started from there. One moment she was lost in the streets f Korea, the next she found herself a job when she least expect it. And the only thing that entered her mind when she decided to accept the job offer was, “Oh my God! I’m going to see him!”
