This is AbsolutelyLovely with my first EXO story!

And it features EXO-K's Chanyeol<33 and Jongin<33

Inspired by the thoughts that run through my head when listening to "You Deserve Better" by Verbal Jint feat. Sanchez of Phantom.

Plot:

I remember the day you told me that you were going out with that guy.

You came running to me, a smile big enough to brighten any stranger's day. You jumped up and down, clenching onto the sides of my sleeves, barely breathing because you were so excited.

Of course, out of curiosity, I asked what the big news was. What could possibly make you this happy?

You told me. You told me your dream had finally come true. You told me your life was finally going somewhere. You told me you loved that guy. You told me that guy accepted you. You told me everything would be all right. You told me he'd take care of you. You told me he wouldn't make you cry. You told me he'd treasure you.

You told me he'd love you.

That's what you told me.

Characters:

You: An average high schooler. Major crush on Jongin. Best friends with Chanyeol since childhood. You never hide anything from him. Not as emotionally or mentally strong as you would like to be, so you end up crying often when your heart can't take it.

Park Chanyeol: A good looking high schooler. Gentleman. Caring. Best friends with you since childhood. Has liked you for a few years now, but you don't know that. Always watches out for you. Friends with Baekhyun, Kyungsoo, and Junmyeon.

Kim Jongin: A high schooler with killer looks to make all the girls fall for him. Has player tendencies. Friends with Sehun.

Byun Baekhyun: An average high schooler. Chanyeol's best friend. Just like Chanyeol watches out for you, Baekhyun is there for Chanyeol.

Do Kyungsoo: An average high schooler. Friends with Chanyeol, Baekhyun, and Junmyeon.

Kim Junmyeon: An average high schooler. Friends with Chanyeol, Kyungsoo, and Baekhyun.

Oh Sehun: An average high schooler. Friends with Jongin.

A/N: Baekhyun, Kyungsoo, Junmyeon, and Sehun are more of side characters, although Baekhyun will appear a little bit more often than the other three do. The characters' developments are fictional and solely for the purpose of this story. Please don't take it to heart!
