"This is just a fake engagement- no commitment, no seriousness and no feelings. But I was wrong; it's filled with commitment, seriousness and feelings. And now, I need to stop my feelings from falling for him or I will just get... hurt. I'm so stupid for getting myself into this complicated and fake engagement with my bestfriend."
This is why we should never fake, because most of the times, this fake-ness we put on becomes reality; and reality is very scary, dangerous and reality hurts a lot.
And we wouldn't want that, would we?
Is it worth it to keep your feelings in for someone just because you know it's not going to work out, or is it better to let them know just for the sake of it?
As much as we try to say everything is just an act... It has its disadvantage and this will hurt people.
You cannot avoid getting hurt because getting hurt is part of being human.
That's the way life just is and we need to accept it.
