Foreword

"Jieun-ah~ Are you ready to leave now?" Jieun's mom said.
"Ne umma..." Jieun sighed.
"Come on, let's go say goodbye to the Chois" Jieun's mom put in the last of their boxes into the moving truck. Jieun's mom took Jieun's hand and walked to the Choi's.
Jieun knocked on the door, and there stood her best friend, Choi Minhwan. Him and Jieun were only a year apart. But they were inseperable.
"So, this is really your last day?" Minhwan frowned.
Jieun stood there quietly and nodded.
"Minhwan-ah where are your parents?" Jieun's mom said
"They're inside..."
Jieun's mom went inside and Jieun followed after her.
"Jieun-ah~ Go play with Minhwan for a while. I'll be talking to his parents okay?"
"Okay."
Minhwan took Jieun to his room. Nothing but silence filled the room. Minhwan cleared his throat.
"Um, Jieun-ah. Can you promise me something?"
"Hmm? What is it?"
"Promise me that you will never ever forget me, and that you will one day come back to Korea."
Tears started to form in Jieun's eyes. "I promise."
"Jieun-ah! Time to go now!" Jieun's mom called out.
The two came out of Minhwan's room. Jieun and Minhwan's parents were already at the front door
"Okay you two, say your goodbyes." Minhwan's dad said.
Minhwan immediately pulled Jieun in for a hug, and whispered "Don't forget our promise." Jieun's tears already began to fall from her eyes. "I will never forget it." Minhwan pulled back, put his hands on her shoulders, and kissed Jieun's cheek. Jieun's eyes widened.
"I think these two will be lovers one day.." Minhwan's mom said.
Minhwan went to his parents and waved goodbye to Jieun and mouthed out "I like you.."
Jieun couldn't quite make out what he mouthed out, but she waved goodbye anyways.
