Kim Taeyeon was about to reach her dream to debut with one of the biggest entertainment companies in Korea. She was living the good life with friends that never seemed to give up on her, a family who seemed to always be proud of her and a fiancé ready to marry her once he returned from his military duties. 

It wasn't until she received that call that she realized what she really wanted. That call that seemed to make time stop for the aspiring singer. That call that opened her eyes to the reality of the people around her. 

"I'm sorry to inform you that Park Jungsoo has been declared Missing in Action."

They all told her he was gone, there was no way he'd return, and that Missing in Action was simply another way of saying that he was dead and they couldn't find his body. She refused to hear their scrutiny on the matter at hand – she had her own plan. They all told her she was crazy and that she was throwing her life away for one man. 

Defying every person who only seemed to care about her, Taeyeon journeyed off into the world that was supposedly only meant for men to find the one who she knew really cared about her.
