In a span of ten minutes, they were separated among the three vehicles they had at their disposal, heading to their intended destination for the day. Donghae could only lightly nibble on his lower lip in worry; his eyes staring at the rear view mirror as he watched Eunhyuk stare absently at the passing scenery. The tall brunette seated in the passenger’s seat wasn’t in any better condition and it absolutely did not help him at all. His attention shifted to the car the suddenly appeared to his left, catching Taeyeon’s questioning, concerned look from the corner of his eye. He subtly shook his head; an understanding passing between them as they hoped it wouldn’t be as bad as it seemed.

                Eunhyuk allowed Sooyoung to take his hand when they reached their destination and stepped out of the cars. Barely noticing the solemn looks on his friends’ faces, he distractedly allowed his best friend to gently drag him after her. The scenery around them was all too familiar to him now but it didn’t mean that he liked it. He felt a hand on his shoulder; Eunhyuk turning his head and forcing a smile on his face. Donghae slightly shook his head, silently telling him it was okay.

“Hey, buddy.” Sooyoung whispered to the wind as the group came to a stop; tears pooling in her eyes as she focused one thing and one thing only. “We’re back.”
