One Encounter

Him:

Only did he look closer, he realised she was crying.

He wanted to ask her if she was alright, to comfort her. But the last thing he wanted to do was to make her cry even harder than she is already now.

"Are... Are you okay? Why, why are you crying?" his mouth spoke on its own accord. The moment the words came out of his mouth, he looked away, pretending that it did not even happened.

Her:

No one had ever cared for her like that. Like how he did. Even if it was a simple "Are you okay?" question.

No one even bothered to talk to her.

The ends of her lips lifted slightly, bit by bit, to form a smile. She slowly slipped on the hoodie.

It was a few sizes too big for her skinny frame, but she wore it anyways.
