Chapter 1- The New Family

A Heart Full of Love

(Jaehwa's P.O.V.)

"Honey! Where are my tennis shoes?" my dad yelled.

"There over there," my mom answered.

"Where?" he asked.

"Over there, " my mom said.

"Ok! I found them. Let's go to tennis, " he finally said.

I've been waiting for thirty minutes. And I thought girls dress slow.

"Want a match?" my brother, L, said.

"Sure, but be careful. I might beat you again, " I said with a smirk.

"Whatever, " he said as we headed to the car.

"Which car?" my dad asked.

"Who cares, Appa?" L said.

"Fine lets just use this one then, " my dad said pointing at our 5-seater car.

Since my dad owns a company, we have this mansion and a lot of cars.

"Appa, lets just go," I whined.

"Tsssk!" he said.

The drive to the tennis court was so silent.

When we arrived we did what we usually do, go walling then play in the court. Since I've been playing since I've been 6, and I'm 13, I already know how to play good. There was a new family there that I haven't seen before. My dad saw and went there and introduced himself.

"Hi. You must be new here. I'm Kim Jaeson. Nice to meet you, " I heard my dad say. " Hey let's go with Appa, " Mom said. We walked to Appa and stayed behind him.

"Hi! Nice to meet you too. I'm Xi Huangfu and this is my family, " he said,

"This is my daughter, Huanyue, my wife, Luchu, myson, and Luhan." My eyes were at Luhan.

He looks so handsome.

"Oh ok. You have a nice family there,' my dad said.

"Thank you. Introduce your family too." Mr. Sang said.

"This is my wife, Sooji, my son, Myungsoo, and my daughter, Jaehwa." He said.

"You have a nice family too," Mr. Sang said with a smile.

I smiled and saw Luhan smile. He's probably good at tennis.

"Why don't we have dinner at our house?" my mom suggested.

The adults started a conversation. It looks like my brother is hitting on Mr. Xi's daughter. Both 15, I can't even believe he'd hit on her. He has no league. I mean look at Huan Yue. She's so beautiful, skinny, and tall.

Too bad for my brother. Since everyone was talking to each other, I went to Luhan. He was practicing his serve but he couldn't get the hang of it.

"You're too stiff, you should do this, " I said as I showed him my serve.

"Wow! You're so good, " he said.

"Thanks. Jaehwa, nice to meet you, " I said.

"Luhan," he said. I smiled and he smiled back.

"So, how long have you been playing?" he asked.

"Oh, ummm... let's see," I counted the years,

"7 years, I guess."

"Wow! How old are you?" he asked.

"13." I answered. "Me too. Well I'm turning 13 in a month." he said.

"Oh ok." I smiled.

" So did you guys just get here from China?" I asked.

"Yeah. My dad works at a company from Beijing and had to transfer here." he said.

"Oh, my family owns a company too," I said.

"We just moved into Lee-Han homes over there," he said pointing to the direction of my house.

"Wow! What a coincidence! My family and I live there too," I said.

"I guess we'll be very close friends." he said with a smile. I smiled too.

"Wanna play a couple of rounds?" Luhan asked.

"Yeah sure, lets see how good you are," I smirked.

"Yah! I only played for a few months." He said. "I'll just have to teach you later then," I said.

Then we played the rounds.

After 30 minutes, our parents called us and we walked to them.

"Haha! I won~," I sang.

"Yah! We had a tie. And we didn't even finish the game," he whined.

"Fine," I said.

"Someone got along," I heard L say with a smirk.

Whatever!  But more surprisingly, he was holding hands with Huanyue. Mine and Luhan's eyes widened.

"Good, you guys got along." my mom said.

"Ok kids-- ," my dad said, but got interrupted.

"Appa-ah, we're not kids anymore," L complained.

"Fine. Teenagers, whatever, we decided to eat at our house. Since you live in our neighborhood, you'll drive home safely," he said.

I saw L and Huanyue get more happy.

"Look at those two," Luhan said in disgust.

"I guess we're gonna be calling ourselves sister-in-law and brother-in-law," I joked.

We both laughed while walking to our cars. My dad was driving and Luhan's family was in the back following us. We arrived at our house and got out of the car.

"Wow," I heard Luhan say.

"Jaeson-ah, you have a nice house. We just live over there," he said pointing two houses away.

"So we're going to be good neighbors then," my dad said patting Huangfu-ajhusshi's back.

"Let's get inside," my mom said and went inside.

"We, mothers, are going to cook dinner," Mrs. Sang said. T

hey went to the living room and saw a grand piano.

"You play?" Mr. Xi asked my dad.

"Actually I play the guitar. My kids play the piano." he answered.

"Oh. Why don't you play something." Mr. Sang said pointing to me.

"Umm...me?" I said shyly. Come on Jaehwa, play a piece," my dad said.

I played "Fur Elise. That was the easiest song I knew. After the song ended I heard Luhan clap. I smiled.

"You are very good," Mr. Xi said applauding.

" Luhan can play too. You can have a duet together," he continued.

"Wow! You play too?" I asked Luhan. He nodded.

"Go play something," I urged.

He walked over to the piano bench. He played "Turkish March." I liked this song. I applauded like him after the song ended. He blushed a little.

"You guys are both good, no... spectacular," my dad said.

"Appa," I whined.

"It's time to eat," Mrs. Xi called.

We went to the dining table and started eating. After we finished eating, my mom said,

"I think you should get going. The kids have class tomorrow."

"Oh yes. That's right. Honey, I think we need to go home," Mrs. Xi said.

" Can we stay for a few minutes? Our house is just a couple of feet away. We can get back there very early," Mr. Xi begged.

My dad and him were doing something.

"Fine," Mrs. Xi said. "So... Sooji. Teach me how to cook these delicious foods," Mrs. Xi started.

"Oh, well. Thank you. So this is how you them," my mom talked.

"Why don't we go upstairs to my room?" L said.

"Ok, but don't even try anything on me," Huanyue warned.

"I'm not going to do anything," L laughed.

After hearing that weird conversation, I asked Luhan, "Want to go to my room?"

"Yeah, sure. Whatever," he replied.

We all went to our rooms. My room was based on cherry blossoms. My bed spread was cherry blossoms. My walss are pink and white with a mural of a cherry blossom tree.

We went inside. Luhan looked around.

"What does your room look like?" I asked.

"It's black and white," he answered.

"Kay, so what school are you going to?" I asked.

"Oh, probably the same as yours. The school's name is Pil-suk," he said.

"Yup, we're in the same school," I said.

"Want me to tell you about the school and stuff?" I suggested.

I went to my desk. He sat next to me. I got a piece of paper and drew the school and warned about the kingkas and queenkas and all that other stuff. I was talking, but I saw he was sleeping on the desk. I was just looking at him. Then my eyes began to droop. I slept next to him.

(L's POV)

"So... you probably go to Pil-Suk High School, right?" Huanyue asked.

"Yeah. Watch out. Cause I'm the kingka," I joked. Then we laughed.

"Kids! We need to go," I heard Mrs. Xi call.

"I guess I need to go," she said. "I'll see you tomorrow at the bus stop," I said.

"Sure," she smiled. She's so pretty. She left, and I left with her. We go down the stairs.

"Where's your brother, Huanyue?" Mrs. Xi asked.

"I don't know," she answered. I think I do.

"I think he went with Jaehwa in her room," I noted.

Mrs. Xi and my mom looked at each other and hurried to the room.

I followed them. They opened the door.

"Aww! How cute," they both passionately said.

"What?" I questioned.

I saw them sleeping in Jaehwa's desk, resting their heads on books.

"Myungsoo, take Jaehwa and put her to bed,"my mom advised.

Mrs. Xi woke up Luhan by a quick tap on the shoulder. He's probably a light sleeper, not like Jaehwa. I went to Jaehwa and carried her to her bed.

"Bye," I heard my mom say when I went out of Jaehwa's room. I went downstairs with my parents.

"So, where was Luhan?" my dad curiously asked.

"He was in Jaehwa's room. I think they were talking about school and they grew tired and both slept," I informed.

"Appa, they looked so good together. They were so cute," my mom pouted.

"Yeah, I'm fine with that, but he better not treat my Jaehwa badly," my dad replied.

"He will not appa. Luhan is a good boy," my mom continued.

I got bored with this and walked away. Someone grabbed my shoulder.

"Son, how was your day with Huanyue?" he asked.

"I-i-it was good," I stuttered. "Treat her good. Myung," he notified. He let go of my shoulder and I went. That really surprised me. I changed into my pj's and went to bed, but before I went to bed, I thought about what my dad said. "Treat her good, Myung."
