GIMP Basics

Create a new document,and insert a picture

1.File>New

2. Open a 500x600 document (I use that number for posters)

3.Copy an image from google,etc

4.Edit>Paste

5.There will be a floating outline around your picture

6.Go to the blank page icon and click on it!

7. Now the layer of your picture would look like this:
