Description
When night spreads its veil over the city, when everybody else is sleeping, a hidden world comes to life. Mythical monsters and magical creatures lurk in the shadows waiting for their next victim, hidden in the safety of night. It's her job to hunt them and kill them. While everyone else is in dreamland she walks in a secret world where every nightmare is as real as she is.
But she has her own demons to face. Now she has to risk her life chasing the most dangerous of them all.
When the sun rises only one of them can still be alive.

When churchyards yawn and hell itself breathes out

He moved so quickly that she almost didn't see him, and stomped her in the left knee. The pain that zipped through her caused her to drop her sword as her hands instinctively grasped her hurt leg. He caught the sword with his left hand and grabbed her arm with his right. She tried to pull away but he was stronger. He held her against his chest and brought the katana to her neck.
"Your blood smells delicious," he purred next to her ear. Jessica kicked him but it was like hitting a wall.
He moved the sword until it was pressed against her cheek. He lowered his head biting softly her neck careful not to spill her blood yet. Jessica stayed still. He hummed softly and then she felt his tongue against her skin. She became slightly nauseous but kept her composure. Then he bit her again, only this time his teeth sank in her neck and he started drinking.
