Lighting flashed out of know where and not long did thunder strike after with a loud sound. Yoseob’s eyes peeled open quickly from his sleep. He noticed that his room was still dark. Pulling himself up with the use of his arm, he leaned to the right of his bed side to see the digital clock on the table close to his bed. 

The green colored numbers on the digital clock read 5:43. It was still early in the morning. Yoseob groaned, falling slowly back to his pillow to go into a deep sleep again, but then thunder struck again.

Yoseob jumped in scarce and the curled into a fetal position as to where his back was open to the open air and covered himself with his blanket. “ Ahhhh, I hate thunder!!” He whispered to himself. He was scared to death to the point where he was shivering.

By that time, Junhyung, who was on the left side of the bed, woke up from his deep sleep. As he pushed his upper body up with the support of his elbows he turned his head to the right, seeing his boyfriend under the covers of their blanket, shivering. “Yoseob?” He asked with a low raspy voice. He rubbed his eyes, and then began to reach over to his partner, pulling the blanket back, so he could see him.

Yoseob was shivering still as he turned his attention to his partner. “I-I’m f-fine!” He tried to assure him.

Lighting appeared, causing the room to brighten a bit. Soon after the lighting struck, thunder roared. Yoseob screamed and curled himself up in a ball again. 

Junhyung sighed, worried about his boyfriend. “It’s okay…come here.” He told him as he grabbed a hold of Yoseob’s arm and pulled him lightly close to him. Yoseob nestled into jun’s body. 

Still traumatized by the storm, Yoseob’s body was still shaking. “Shhh…” Jun told him, holding him close to his body and petting his hair. “Everything is alright. It’s just thunder. Nothing is going to hurt you…I won’t let anything hurt you.” 

Junhyung soothing words had seemed to calm Yoseob a little bit, seeing that his shaking had stopped. Yoseob gripped onto Jun’s white tank, holding onto it until he fell into a deep sleep again. “I hate rain storms.” Yoseob stated.

Still trying to calm his partner, Junhyung nodded once. “Yes, I know you do, but babe, I promise you there is nothing to be scared of. It won’t hurt you if you’re in the house with me.”

“I know…” Yoseob softly replied.

Junhyung kissed the top of Yoseob’s head. “Go to sleep now. I’m here and I won’t let go.” To reassure him, Jun hugged him tightly. 

A smile rose from Yoseob’s mouth. He was happy that his boyfriend wrapped himself around him with so much love and care. He nuzzled himself more into Jun’s body and slowly closed his eyes and it wasn’t too long after that he quickly went back to sleep.

Jun moved his head, peeking to see if his boyfriend finally was sound asleep and he was which cause him to smile. He put his head back on top of Yoseob’s and began to close his heavy eyes as well. Not ever letting go, Jun fell fast asleep as well. The two boys slept peacefully and yet so comfortable in each other arms in their bed for the rest of night. 

It still had rained hard with a mixture of lighting and thunder and not once after Yoseob fell back asleep did it awake him. He was so content with being his boyfriend’s arm that nothing could seem to wake him up again.
