My Soul in Seoul City
The next morning, my alarm clock on my phone woke me up around 7:30am . i groaned, grabbed
my white iphone from the nightstand and turned it off . i was very jet lagged . i felt like
i needed more sleep, but it would be rude to my host family if i slept in & didn't have
breakfast with them .
i stood up, rubbed my eyes & then got out of the bed . i then quickly took a shower, brushed
my teeth, put on some bb cream, lip balm, and natural looking eye makeup . i did my hair
& then starting looking for something to wear in my suitcase . i still haven't unpacked
all my things yet, i was took exhuasted to do it last night .
since it was a nice sunny day out i pulled out a cute mini floral dress from my suit case
& changed into it & then walked downstairs to eat breakfast with my host family .
Breakfast here in korea is quite different from breakfast in america, i thought to myself
as i looked around at the food that my host family set on the table .
instead of Foods like Cereal,Pancakes, toast ect . they served foods that i usually
would think people would eat for lunch & dinner Like Rice & veggies .
but i didn't mind at all . i actually liked it, i wasn't a big fan of breakfast foods anyway
& this seems more healthy . Maybe this is how koreans keep there Slim figures .. i thought
to myself .
While we ate breakfast together, my host family asked me questions about My life in america
& what my school is like . they seemed very interested, i answered all of there questions in
korean . they Complimented me several times on my korean skills . personally i think
my korean isn't good at all, it was pretty broken & pronunciation was difficult for me.
but i guess they weren't used to seeing a foreigner like me speak as much korean as
i was, so they were quite impressed .
My host family were Open minded, Easy going, very warm Welcoming people, they made me feel
comfortable and welcomed the second i met them and moved it . my host family
consisted of a mother, father & there son Dongho.
dongho is only a year older then me & one grade above me . and he's pretty cute^^
on a scale from 1-10 i'd give him a solid 8 .
i then finished up my breakfast & went back upstairs to my room, i grabbed my iphone off of
the night stand and called serena .
''Hello?'' she answered the phone
''hey serena, what are you doing right now?'' i asked her
''unpacking the rest of my stuff, oh & i just finished breakfast'' she replied
''Oh me too!'' i said
''How are you feeling'' she asked me
''jet lagged.. i so wish i could sleep in , but that would be rude to my host family
& it would make me seem lazy'' i sighed
''i totally know how you feel'' she added
''but anyways, i wanted to ask you if you wanted to go somewhere today?'' i asked her
''hell yeah! when and where?'' she asked
''Hmmm .. not sure right now, but will you meet me infront of your house in a few
minutes ? i'm about to go walk over their right now'' i said to her
''Alright!'' she answered .
/we both hung up/
i put on some shoes, Grabbed my bag & then walked down the stairs and left the house .
i made my way down the street and stopped at a little store & bought myself a melona
ice cream bar, and ate it on the way to meet up with serena . it was such a beautiful
sunny day outside . not too hot either, the weather was perfect & it made me feel
really more enegized, i felt happy .

i walked for about 10 more minutes and then finally reached the front of where
serena was staying out . i waved at her and smiled as i got closer .
''Annnnyeeeeonggg!!'' i said cheerfully .
serena raised an eyebrow ''you totally seem jet lagged'' she laughed
i my icecream
''waaaaaahhh ICECREAM, wae didn't you get me one too?'' serena whined
''Ahhh, sorry serena i didn't think about it'' i giggled
Serena and i started walking down the street trying to decide what
we should do today .
''oooh i know!'' serena Exclaimed
''what?'' i asked her
''since it's such a beautiful day, we should go grab
some snacks, go to the park & stare at hawt guys their''
i giggled .. ''sounds like a plan''
we both made our way to 7/11 & bought some Almond chocolate peporo,
Honey flavored chips, & sodas .
we walked to a nearbye park, and sat down on the soft green grass .
we saw children playing, couples holding hands, people walking their dogs,
bike riders, and children playing at the park .
serena and i snacked on our the food we bought, took tons of pictures
and uploaded them to our instagrams .
serena scanned the area for hot guys..
''ugh'' she groaned ''all the hot guys here have girlfriends''
''well it kinda makes sense.. why would a hot guy just come to a park and
walk around alone?'' i laughed
serena thought about it for a sec ''ahhhh .. yea it does make sense...''
a few minutes later me and serena had been laying out in the sun for a while
and it started to get hot and uncomfortable so we both agreed to get up
and go sit down on a bench in the shade.
it all happened quite fast, i was walking to the bench with serena
and suddenly something hit back off my legs and i fell over .
somebody had hit me with their bike .
i turned over and tears filled my eyes as i saw the bleeding cuts
on my knee . it stung really bad .
''OMO, Gan chan Na?! (Omg, are you okay?)'' i heard a guys voice say
''y-ye .. kwenchana yo .. (yes, i'm okay)'' i answered before looking up at him
''i'm really sorry for this, i was going alittle bit too fast &
you kinda just came out of nowhere'' he laughed
my eyed widened alittle bit because he began speaking to me in english
''i don't have a band-aid with me and i don't want to leave you like
this since it's my fault, so get on the back of my bike & i will
buy you a band-aid and some medicine for the cuts, they look pretty
bad.''
i finally looked up and saw his face ..
I've seen this guy before .
