By the Light of the Moon

Description

“Yah,” He remained stone still, as if her first somewhat slurred question had placed him under a spell, “are you a e?”

Foreword

[A/N: Hi all! I've noticed that on here, authors post information about their characters and whatnot. I'm usually a firm believer of making your story tell the story, but I figured I might as well jump off the bridge with everyone else while I'm here.]

Title: By the Light of the Moon

Synopsis: She was not supposed to be in South Korea. But thanks to an overly helpful 'peer advisor,' and a lost application, she'd been accepted to study at Yonsei University for her junior year. She was supposed to be in Austrlia. Studying in Australia. Not Korea. Where she knew none of the language, none of the customs - where no one said "Goodaye mate!" in a delicious accent. Yet here she was, a small town American girl living in the heart of South Korea. Whoop-dee-freakin'-doo. Might as well pin a rose on her nose.

Characters:

  • Main Characters
    - Luna Baxtyr
A spunk filled girl, stubborn to her core, and effectionate to a fault.
Growing up in Bess Harbor, Maine where everyone knew when you took the trash out - and that your mother had abandoned you on your grandparents' doorstep to chase her dreams of being an actress - was just something that Luna had grown tired of. Especially after her sophomore year in high school, thanks to her mother's legondary reputation, when she gained the oh so creative nickname "Loose Luna," after making out with Brandon Wheeler behind the bleachers.
Commuting to a college a few towns over hadn't been much of a repreave from small town gossip, and so in her sophomore year of college Luna finally had enough and applied to study abroad in Australia.

    - Bang Yongguk
A seamingly cocky and confident man, though there's much more than what shows on his surface.
Leader of a debuting Korean pop group.
I'll try to keep him in character as much as possible. Sorta.

  • Possible Character Appearences
    Leela Oswald-Myo
A quiet studious girl, filled with secrets, who likes to lose herself in fictional worlds. She was born in Busan, Korea and lived there until her second birthday when she and her mother fled to Bess Harbor, Maine to live with her maternal aunt. Though her mother had not a bit of Korean blood in her, she worked at a local college as a Korean Language, and Asian Studies expert - which also lead to Leela being fluent in her father's language. After graduating from high school, and her mother passing, Leela decided to apply to a Korean University.

    - Juniper Goodlyn
A brash and somewhat rude girl, she has two modes: passive or aggressive. She often preaches about thinking before acting, though she can be easily caught up the moment and act on instinct. From the central of the US, of Native American decent, grew up on a ranch in the boondocks. Luna's roomate.

“Wha’cha doin’?”

The boy in front of her flinched. From her perch on the playset’s bridge, she watched his reaction with vague amusement. With his back to her, she couldn’t see his facial expression but she could clearly see his shoulders hunch, as if he was trying to fold in on himself.

What was he doing?

A dark hood draped over his head, hiding his features from her. An outstretched hand was frozen in front of him, she could just barely see stiff fingers tightly gripping a.. phone?

“Yah,” He remained stone still, as if her first somewhat slurred question had placed him under a spell, “are you a e?”

Again he jerked, apparently overcoming the spell that her voice had woven, and whipped around to face her. In the rush of movement, his hood slipped off his head, revealing a handsome multicolored headed boy.

Weird.

Outrage sparked in his eyes, “What did you say to me?”

She stared at him curiously, tilting her head to the side to better look through the bars of the bridge’s railing. A nose, two eyes, and a frown was all she could make out through her alcohol induced haze.

Taking care to enunciate slower, in case he hadn’t been able to understand her the first time, she spoke again: “Are you a e?”

I'm not quite sure where this story is going. Well. I mean, I know where it's going. But idek if I want to make this a short few chapters scenario/drabble and then add sequals and the like, or make it into a long neverending story? Any suggestions?

Anyhow. This is fic popper my kpop fanfiction cherry! So be kind to me, yeah? :/
I'm still getting used to this site and fandom's way of writing.
