"Oppa! Hold on to the beads and make a wish! And then put it on!" the little girl managed in a soft voice, amidst the beeping of the equipment in the room. She pushed a bracelet into daehyun's hands. It was roughly done, a weave of grey and blue with small beads laced into it. "What's this?" Daehyun chuckled and felt it between his fingers. "A wish bracelet! I made it myself. You have to hold the bracelet and whisper your wish to it, then put it on! A real wish! A wish for yourself!" Daehyun smiled as he closed his eyes, not wanting to tell the little girl that he didn't believe in magic bracelets or wishes. What should i wish for? Daehyun thought to himself. Hmmm... I wish to be happy. Truly happy. Daehyun opened his eyes after whispering his wish to the bracelet that was placed against his lips. "Done?" the little girl cocked her head to the side, ski cap nearly coming off. "Yes I'm done, princess!" Daehyun adjusted the ski cap on her head. "Good, now put it on oppa!" Daehyun fidgited with the ends of the string, cursing mentally as his fingers got tangled up instead. He wondered how girls did it so quickly. "Remember oppa, you have to lose something before you can get something in return."

"W-what? What does that mea-" Daehyun looked up from his bracelet after tying an ugly knot that most probably couldn't be undone, only to find the girl sleeping soundly. He smiled to himself and turned the side lamp off. The medicines must have really worn her out. Daehyun grabbed the clipboard and made his way to the other wards, admiring the mass of strings that s around his wrist.
