To say that Donghae was jealous, was an understatement. No, he wasn’t jealous… He was more than jealous. His blood was boiling and he suddenly felt the desire to rip off someone’s head. He didn’t realize he was clenching his fists when he glared at her direction one more time. Of course, she didn’t notice that he was staring at her like always.

Donghae saw that many of his labelmates surrounded her. Chanyeol… Key… and Suho… Seeing so many guys trying to get her attention made him feel even angrier. Why did all the guys in SM suddenly seemed to be trying to steal his ice princess away from him?  Yes, he claimed her as his even if he didn’t have the right to.

Why did Krystal have to walk away? It would have been much easier for Donghae if Jessica had walked along with her sister and not with any other guy in SM.

Among all the guys that were around her, she chose him. She chose Kim Joonmyun also known as Suho, EXO K’s leader and Donghae wondered why. He glared at them with anger and wonder what did that kid have that caught his princess attention.

He saw how Jessica leaned forward and whispered something to Suho. That triggered Donghae’s anger and jealousy. In that moment, he really wanted to rip his head off. He wanted to punch the little kid but it would be totally wrong to do it in front of so many people.

He glared at them once again and saw them laughing. Seriously, who was this guy that managed to catch her attention among all the guys?!

What did Suho have that he didn’t? Suho was good looking, and he was too. He had a really nice voice but he had a really nice voice too. He was cute and hell he was cute too… so Donghae didn’t understand what Jessica saw in him. Well, is not that Suho and Jessica were dating anyway, it was only a little interaction but still, Donghae was jealous… really jealous.

However, Hae didn’t have any right to claim her as his. Because she wasn’t his… They had broken up a long time ago so she wasn’t his girl anymore. But still, he couldn’t help but feel really mad.

“Hey captain obvious!” someone called his attention and he turned to face the person. He saw his best friend Hyukjae, glaring at him. “You are going to kill the poor kid with your glare so just stop!”

“What?” Hae said pretending he didn’t know what he meant “Who said I was staring at them?”

“Stupid fish” Hyukjae said laughing “You are still in denial”

After he said that, he stormed off laughing at his friend. Donghae was left there dumbfounded. Still in denial?

Donghae just couldn’t understand what his friend meant with that but he decided not to mind and his attention went back to SNSD’s ice princess and EXO’s guardian.

After SM Town in Taiwan ended that night, everyone either went home or went to celebrate. Donghae was truly not in the mood, so he decided just to head home. When he was about to go out, he realized he had left something on the waiting room.

“Damn it!” he said and cursed himself for being so forgetful.  He walked back to the waiting room, not expecting to bump into anyone. But he did.

He stopped walking abruptly and froze in his spot when he saw Jessica and Suho chatting happily. That was too much for him to handle. He could take their small interaction on stage but backstage also? No, he couldn’t.

“Oh annyeonghaseyo hyung!” Suho said with wide smile on his face when he saw Donghae

“Neh, annyeong” he said coldly and Suho’s eyes widened. He had heard from his fellow members that Donghae was one of the nicest hyungs in SM so why did he look like he wanted to kill someone, more specifically him?

Jessica didn’t greet him, she just glared at him coldly and Donghae’s eyes didn’t leave her for a single second. Suho noticed the sudden awkward atmosphere and he felt that he was out of place.

“Hmm I guess I’ll leave you too” he said feeling rather nervous “Bye noona, bye hyung”

“I’ll talk to you later Joonmyun ah” she said smiling to the younger boy and he smiled back before leaving. Donghae just glared at the two and felt jealous again. Why did they seem so close? Were they secretly dating or something?

Jessica just ignored Donghae’s presence once again and turned around. When Donghae noticed that she was about to leave, he suddenly grabbed her by her arm.

“Wait!” he said

“Let go of me!” she yelled at him and he could notice anger in her voice

“I just want to ask you something!” Donghae yelled back, losing his patience. Jessica rolled her eyes and turned around to face him with her cold stare piercing him.

“Then ask!” she said in the same cold tone “I don’t have much time”

“Are you and Suho dating or something?!” he asked and he couldn’t hide his anger and jealousy. Jessica raised an eyebrow and remained quiet for a while.

“It is not of your business” she said coldly and turned around once again about to leave. She walked away from him without answering and he felt veins boiling with anger.

“Why are you being like this?!” he yelled at her with all his might. Jessica suddenly stopped walking and faced him. He could swear there was a hint of sorrow in her eyes. He just couldn’t understand why she was being so cold and indifferent to him. Ever since they broke up, she completely ignored him and acted as if he didn’t exist. He thought they had moved past that but he was wrong.

“You were the one who started this” she said coldly

“Damn it Jessica!” he yelled punching the wall without minding the pain “I have said I’m sorry for more than a million times!”

“You can say you are sorry but that doesn’t mean I forgive you so don’t expect me to act as if nothing happened!” she said looking sad and angry at the same time “You broke up with me so don’t go around acting like a jealous boyfriend!”

He clenched his fists with anger and suddenly felt that tears were threatening to fall. He knew she was right. He was no one to act so overprotective over her. He wasn’t her boyfriend. Not anymore.

“Doesn’t mean I don’t love you anymore” he whispered but she heard and couldn’t help but laugh sarcastically.

“It was your choice to break up Donghae…” she said with sadness in her voice

“And I regret it!” he said looking at her sternly. He walked towards her and pulled her into a hug that turned her world upside down. She wanted to hate him but her heart was telling her something else.

“There hadn’t been a single day that I don’t regret breaking up with you” he said and tightened the embrace as if he didn’t want to let go of her.

“I know it was my fault for letting you go and choosing my career over you but please don’t shut me out” he said with sorrow in his voice. Jessica didn’t know why she felt like she wanted to forget about everything and give him a second chance. “Even if you are dating someone else, we can still be friends”

Jessica sighed and finally hugged him back. Donghae’s eyes widened in shock and he felt his heart beating faster.

“Fine” she said breaking the hug to look at him “If you want to be friends I guess I can try”

Donghae smiled brightly and hugged her tightly again.

“D-donghae” she said with difficulty

“Yes?” he asked still hugging her

“I c-can’t breathe” she said as he was crushing her with his hug

“Oh sorry” he said embarrassed and blushed hardly. Jessica looked at him and just laughed at his childishness. He looked at her and smiled.

“Suho is lucky to have you” he said and she looked at him confused

“Suho?” she asked surprised and then laughed once again. Donghae looked at her confused. Why was she laughing? Did he say something funny?

“Why are you laughing?!” he asked finally a little bit offended

“Sorry” she said holding her laughter “What makes you think I’m dating Suho?”

Donghae’s eyes widened at her statement.

“Wait… I thought…” he was too shocked to complete his sentence

“You thought there was something between him and me?” she asked and he nodded “Well, no. He is only a really good friend”

Donghae suddenly smiled brightly and felt more relieved. If she wasn’t with him it meant he still had a chance with her.

“Then why were you with him all the night?” he asked as he couldn’t hide his jealousy and she just rolled her eyes.

“I shouldn’t be giving any explanations to you but I’m going to do it. He was just asking for some advice because he likes Taeyeon, ok? That’s why I told him I would talk to him later.”

In that moment, Donghae felt really stupid. So it was Taeyeon all that time? He laughed at his own stupidity and thanked god that this misunderstanding helped him get close to Jessica once again.

“So… if you don’t like Suho and he doesn’t like you… that means I still have a chance?”

Jessica’s eyes widened and she couldn’t help but blush.

“What?! I never said that!” she said embarrassed and he laughed at her cuteness

“Fine, so I’ll call you tomorrow then” he said smiling boldly and then winked at her. He waved at her before leaving her dumbfounded. Jessica was still shocked but smiled anyway. Maybe the misunderstanding hadn’t been that bad…
