MBLAQ mini story

Description

You are a foreigner in Seoul, and you're planning on becoming an English teacher at one of the elementary schools. Rent is hard to pay at your apartment, and the landlord decides that if you don't get a job soon and start holding your own, he'll have to kick you out because you are a financial "leech" of his. How will you get the money if you can't prove that you are a good teacher? Luckily, a certain famous group of people decide to prove on their live tv show that you deserve a good job with children. Meanwhile, you're wondering if teaching is really what you want to do... You might end up losing the new people in your life who are precious to you.

Foreword

Somehow the principal's face seemed like it couldn't get any more red. You fiddle nervously with your nails and avoid eye contact as much as possible. "Jungyoo-seonsaengnim," he says quietly. "I understand you are completely qualified to work as a teacher, but.... You just aren't what we're looking for. I'm sorry." That's probably the seventh school you've tried and gotten turned down at. "I don't get it!" you scream in English outside the school. "What do they have that I don't?!?" With a last puff of your mini-tantrum, you storm off, fussing with your bag over your shoulder. It's as if they think I'm going to beat the kids, you mutter inwardly. I'd make a good teacher! I love kids! You sigh and sit down on a bench. You're at a bus stop, but you're not planning on going anywhere. You blow a strand of hair out of your face and rummage through your bag. "Where is it," you mumble, searching thoroughly. You finally pull out a folder and open it. You take a pen out of your pocket, which had been prepared before-hand just in case this school had been different in its oppinion of you. You click the pen open and scratch off the name of the school you just left. "I'm running out of options..." With a sigh, you lean back against the back of the bench and stare upwards at the sky. It's going on noon, and you feel like you need to take a break to the beach to cool off. "Maybe we should give up. I'm sure we won't find anyone for the job around here! It's too vague," says a voice just behind you. "Arasseo... No one in their right mind would take it anyway," answers someone else. Your head whips up. I need a job, you think suddenly. Maybe.... A part-time job, till I can teach... Don't let this opportunity pass you by, Jungyoo! Go for it! You tell yourself. You stand and turn, preparing to ask these people about their job. "Uh... Excuse me..." His smirk greets you, along with the others' grinning faces. Even if they're hidden by sunglasses and hoodies you recognise the five boys immidiately. "And the fish takes the bait," Lee Joon says mockingly. "You--?" "I think," a voice interrupts you. You look to the left and see Seungho walking towards you. "I think... You might be in need of a job?" He grins at you. "And we have a perfect idea!"
