You're Not Mine.

Description

I will always look at him from afar with eyes of admiration.
However, he had never once cast a glance at me.
I was not even part of his world when he meant the entire world to me.

I will always look at his girlfriend in envy when she hook his arm so naturally.
Smiling at only him, pecking his lips and being by his side all day had always been my dream.
A dream that would probably never come true.

Until...

That day I found it.
My dream came true without wishing upon a star.
I was the luckiest girl on Earth.
And I wished for nothing more because I had all I ever wanted.
But was everything going to end happily ever after?
Maybe not.

Chapter 1: This is quite an intriguing piece that delves into the perspective of one experiencing unrequited love. It doesn't make sense why Hoya would go for a girl like Haera who'd been a bully towards Jiyoon. Whatever he may see in Haera for her to become his girlfriend is a baffling case. The elderly woman's statement in reference to the Love Note is like a foreshadowing of Jiyoon's mistake that'd ensue from its usage. That is selfish when Jiyoon was only thinking of what she wants from Hoya without considering his needs. Love Note is the temptation that brought about Jiyoon's downfall by committing this great sin. Hoya not looking Jiyoon's way even once is indicative of him not being romantically interested in her. Forcing love onto someone who doesn't reciprocate one's feelings will only bring pain and misery. That's the outcome when he finally left her for good once the spell broke upon opening his eyes to the truth. The saying goes, "You reap what you sow." It's effectively dreary how you've managed to capture this feeling for a sad ending with a moral.

This seems like a deeply reflective one-shot on unrequited love where the girl yearns to be with her dream guy. The guy already being taken by another girl is the obstacle that hinders her from pursuing him.
