May 1946
After the declaration of liberation day, Korea was now again open to many foreign influences. Thus... the opera. At first it was a great idea for Koreans to learn more of the western literature. Although this has been introduced in early 1900’s the producer decided to revive the meaning of Opera to Koreans.

The sets were ready, the location was accessible. In 4 month’s time, the opera shall make it’s way to the history of art and literature. But I noticed something... it seemed that the producer and the actors/actresses are getting tensed at something that I do not know. I saw the main actress walked out during the rehearsal...

The opera was going smoothly... it was nearly the end of this Opera, where the actress shall place the ‘poison’ on her lips... but we noticed something wrong... the actor on the floor together with the actress was no longer breathing. But the show must go on... It was until the actress noticed this and screamed. It has created a commotion... until someone hit oil lamp, the curtains caught fire. The audience hurried their way out of the theatre...
