CHAPTER 6

            It’s the 7^th day since f(x) started their practice. They were really happy coz they’re getting along well. They were practicing and they stopped when the long interlude began.

            “OK, practice’s over girls. You are doing well. Keep up the good work. And Amber, after this, go to SHINee’s room. You’ll have your rapping class there,” said the choreographer.

            “Ne, songsaenim. kamsahamnida,” all of them bowed and left.

            SHINee was taking a break when they heard a knock.

            “Come in!”

            The door swung open and revealed Amber.

            “What’s up, little dino?” Jjong asked.

            “My songsaenim said that I would have my rapping class here.”

            “Yeah, that’s right. Let’s just wait for Lee songsaenim to come,” Key said.

            Amber nodded and sat down beside Jjong.

            “So, how are your days here?” Jjong asked.

            “Great. My group mates are good.”

            “Good to hear that, Amber,” Onew said. Then, they heard a knock and Lee songsaenim appeared. Everyone, except Amber, Key, and Minho, excused themselves.

            “Minho, go to acting class now. They are willing to have you as Romeo for their next drama. They are having a meeting now and want you to come.”

            “OK,” Minho said and excused himself.

            “So, I guess you’re Amber?”

            “Yes sir.”

            “Show me what you’ve got!” Lee songsaenim told her.

            Amber nodded and played the music. She’d decided that she would rap for Super Junior’s One Love. She stopped after she’d finished the first part.

            “Really good, Amber.”

            “Thanks, songsaenim,” Amber said and bowed.

            “Key, practice your Ring Ding Dong part now.”

            “OK,” Key said and started rapping.

            “Keep up the speed, ‘kay?”

            “Ok.”

            “Amber, this is your part for Chu,” Lee songsaenim said and handed her a paper, and continued, “try it,” he said and played the music.

            Amber started rapping speedily. Then, Lee songsaenim said that she didn’t need to be so speedy, just relaxed and gave some pressure on some words. Amber nodded and tried again, and that one was way better than the first one.

            Their class ended at 4 and they bowed to the teacher and walked together to the hall. There was an uncomfortable silence until Key decided to break the ice.

            “Amber, you’re great! From whom you learn to rap?”

            “Thanks oppa. I learned by myself and sometimes listening to Donghae oppa when he’s practicing. You’re good too.”
