Set him free

She watched both of them having fun together.

Smiling and laughing together.

Picture perfects scenery.

 

 

“He’s happy with her”, she said after awhile watching them. More like watching him exactly.

He smiles freely when he’s with that woman unlike with her.

He laughs like no tomorrow too.

He’s a real person in front of that woman.

 

 

Tears start to form in her clear eyes.

 

 

“Are you okay?Let’s go to clinic after this,okay?”, she asks after she notices his lifeless state.

“I’m fine”, he replied with a smile. That same plastic smile.

 

 

They both feed each other happily at the park in front of the Han River.

 

 

“Here. Aah~”, she said while holding the wrapped lettuce to give it to him.

However, he took the lettuce wraps and shoved it to his mouth without a single reply.

 

 

 

His lifeless state is his indirect signal to her. She knows it yet she ignores it.

Because ignorance is bliss afterall.

 

 

 

 

She punch his number and calls him.

Hoping that he migh take the call.

He feels the vibrates of his phone and get it from his pocket.

 

Rather than taking the call, he holds his gold coloured phone and stare it for awhile.

 

 

The woman besides him tells him to pick up after noticing the tense atmosphere.

He replies to her with a smile and switch the phone off.

“Later”,he said to her and continue back to feeding session.

 

 

 

 

 

Tears flow freely now.

Her hand trumbles while clutches her silver coloured phone.

Her present-from-him silver coloured phone.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

That woman stops feeding him and take her phone to texts someone.

And her phone is freaking gold coloured phone.

 

 

 

 

 

Reality hurts.

 

 

 

 

 

 

A beep can be heard.

She checks her phone.

A message sent by a sender name “ That woman”.

You’ve seen everything. Set him free already.

For the sake of him.

For the sake of you.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

She turns her back and leave them after so much uncontrollable sadness in her heart.

She leaved the silver phone at the nearby bench.

 

 

 

 

 

The crushed silver phone more specifically.

The next morning, he goes to their usual hangout place as told by her via facebook.

Their café which is called Secreto de Amour café.

Ironic café name like their ironic love.

 

He waits for her for almost a good two hours.

Unable to wait any longer, he gets up from his seat but a waiter stops him.

The waiter hands him a paper.

There she is , standing near to the taxi.

She’s wearing all-black outfit and stare at him behind her black-rimmed shades.

 

There is a medium-sized board with black balloons standing beside her with a words consists of

 

“Sorry and Goodbye”.

Her pink guitar,scarf and bear are there too.

 

 

Before Yonghwa can run out from the café, she left with the taxi.

 

“You should at least let me bid goodbye and make me ask forgiveness to you. Sorry and thank you, Hyun~”,Yonghwa said while staring at the taxi that almost fading away from his sight.
