It's true though, I guess. I don't express much of how I feel and keep most of my thoughts to myself. What good would it do if you shared it with other people?

They say that I'm very beautiful when I smile and that I should smile more often...

Do I not smile enough? I don't know. It's just that... I'm very unresponsive. And smiling only comes once in a while. It's not that I'm always unhappy or anything.

They say that I make the perfect model...

Yeah, I'm a model-in-training. Just a few more years to go... But I don't know... I never really wanted to be a model. I was just kinda pushed in that direction ever since my parents figured out that I have long legs and the perfect body.

"YAH! KIM SOO-AH! WAIT UP!"

Oh, that's one of my best friends since preschool. Yeah, despite my unresponsiveness, I've managed to make friends. Interesting, huh?

It's funny how they can sometimes figure me out... but sometimes can't. Even if we've been buddies since toddler years.

"Hey, Jieun." I greeted her like usual.

Jieun pouted, "Why do you have such long legs?! They make you take big strides that I can't keep up with! I always have to run to catch up to you."

I smiled softly, "You're just too short."

"*Gasp!* How could you tell your best friend that?! Just because you're super tall doesn't give you the right to call me short! Hmm, I should buy one of those medicines that they say makes you grow taller! Oh my gosh! Did you hear about those new diet pills that everyone's been talking about?! Sheesh, it's such big news and I heard that Jangmi is going to buy them this afternoon! You think they'll really help?"

Yup... This is Lee Jieun for you.

She's the talkative one in my group of best friends. She'll go on and on if you don't stop her soon. I guess she kinda fills in my speaking part. Maybe that's how we became friends. She talked too much and I didn't talk at all.

And about those diet pills? I didn't hear about them until now since Jieun brought it up, but why would we care, right? Well, we're all actually celebrities-to-be.

We attend Korea's most famous Star Academy which is a private school built for talented people who will become famous later on in their life. Like I said, I'm going to be a model.

She's a great dancer. And by how talkative she is and how good she's at convincing people, she's a natural-born celebrity, I tell you.

So yeah, back to the diet pills. All the girls at Star Academy have to stay lean. We always have to exercise and are not allowed to eat any junk foods or any fattening foods.

We have such a great life.

"Omona! Look, Soo-ah! There's a fight going on by our school front!" yelled Jieun and quickly dragged me to a huge fighting scene.

Oh, great. These boys are going to be busted when the Chairman and guards come. I bet these boys belong in the Singers Department. They're usually the ones that cause all the trouble at our Academy.

I can hear Jieun squealing next to me, "Oh my gosh! It's Jaebum sunbae fighting! Kya! He looks so cool! Look at him taking on six different guys at the same time!"

... That's great.... Whatever. I'm not interested in these things. But I heard a lot about this Jaebum sunbae... from Jieun, definitely, but also from all these different girls talking and gossiping all the time.

Heard he's a real bad boy always involved in fighting. They say it's because he had experienced a bad break-up... The girl he really loved left him for another guy in the same department as him... That's gotta .

*BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP!*

Oh, great. Here comes the Chairman and the guards. I actually like this part about fights. It's pretty entertaining, watching these bad boys being dragged away and getting hit on the head with a cane by the Chairman.

"Aw, pooie! And the fight was just getting good." pouted Jieun and dragged me away from my favorite part, "C'mon, let's go. The fun's over."

"Wait, I wanna watch this part." I protested.

Jieun rolled her eyes at me, "You're just strange, Soo-ah. We gotta meet up with Jangmi, remember? C'mon, C'mon!"

And that was that.
