SM ENTERTAINMENT: ANOTHER GIRL GROUP TO DEBUT
SM Entertainment decided they will take risk to debut another girl group called Prairie. The group consists of 5 girls with different personality and style. Lee Soo Man stated that they’re expecting this group to reach the success level of SNSD as Asia’s Number One Girl Group.
One of the representatives of SM Entertainment also stated that this group will be different. The girls had been trained for more than 4 years as a trainee before debut. Right now, these girls are currently preparing their debut stage.
As the future manager Kim Sookyung stated, the group name, Prairie means grassland that can also be referred as freedom and gentleness. Just like their personality and style, Praire will be the first girl group that SM debuted who will have different kind of music.
“These girls never trained together when they’re still a trainee. So they act as stranger around each other when they met for the first time” Sookyung stated on the interview. “But they pretty much get along as they prepare their debut”. Praire almost debuted under the name Stranger, but Lee Soo Man decided to change the name to something more unique, quirky, lovely, and fun just like how he want this group to be described.
