Meet Kim Hyunjoong the most popular student in their senior campus. And the coldest one. That's why he's called the 'Ice Prince' by everyone.

 

And here's our 'Ms.Sunshine' Jung Somin. She used to annoy Hyunjoong but as time goes by, he'll definitely fall for her for some reasons.

*FLASHBACK*

"Oppa! Let me in." a girl with a pair of doe eyes is running towards the elevator.

Hyunjoong immediately pressed the hold button and waited till the girl stepped in.

"Thank you oppa." the girl bowed and smiled sweetly at him. "9th floor please."

'So cute.' he thought.

Hyunjoong pressed the button and the elevator started to move. When suddenly the elevator shook and the lights went out. Everything went black.

He stuck his hands in his pocket and took his phone out and pressed a random key to turn the light on.

"Oppa?"

He heard the girl calling him.

"Yes?" he focused the light towards her and saw her sitting at the corner with her tears falling from her eyes. He panicked and approach the girl.

"Are you okay?" Hyunjoong asked.

The girl throw her a smile again but not as sweet as the first one. "Im just fine but please just stay near. Its just im scared in the dark." she begged him as another tear started to fall again.

Hyunjoong was moved and just like what his mind is telling him, he moved forward and hugged the girl. "Don't worry, im just here." he assured her.

He felt that the girl is starting to calm down and drift into sleep. It didn't took long when he felt that the elevator door is starting to open and he heard a voice saying, "Is there someone inside?"

And that was the last time he saw that doe eyed girl.

*END OF FLASHBACK*

 

*HYUNJOONG'S POV*

 

Its been 5 years since saw that girl but she's still bugging my mind. Just like now, those sweet smiles and a pair of doe eyes keep flashing on me.

Just then, this annoying girl named Jung Somin bumped into me.

"Oh, im sorry." she bowed at me.

I ignored her and continued walking but i felt her eyes are still following me. But why do i feel something weird whenever im near with that Ms.Sunshine. Oh, enough of her! 

The bell rang and i immediately get into my class.

 

SOMIN'S POV

 

Such an Ice Prince. I just looked behind him as he started walking away. But he really does looked like the boy with me when i got stucked in an elevator 5 years ago.

But no way, that boy is much better and kind than that Hyunjoong. Eventhough i cant help think that he might be that boy because of what im feeling when im near him.

The bell rang and i rushed through the hallway just to get in time to my class.

*DURING WINTER*

Hyunjoong is wandering thru the streets of Seoul when his phone rang. His mom is calling.

"Hello?"

"Hyunjoong where are you?" he can hear that his mother is crying from the other line.

"Mom, whats wrong? Im just taking fresh air from outside."

"We need to talk. Now. Come home quickly." his mother commanded.

"Okay mom. I'll be there in 10 minutes." then he pressed the end button and called a taxi.

When he got home, he saw their family lawyer holding a suitcase with his dad and mom behind.

He paused and asked. "What's going on here?"

 "Our divorce file has been granted and from now on, your mom is living on the other house." his dad explained.

He was shocked then he remembered it when his mom and dad signed a papers because of their constant fights about dad having an affair with another woman. It was last year when they filed it and now it was granted.

"What about me?" he asked nervously.

"You are going to stay here for you are the heir of my company."his father said.

He can't take it anymore, he ran outside as hot tears started to fall. "Wait Hyunjoong!" he heard his mother but he just kept on running.  Its getting cold but he didn't mind it. He just wanted to run far away from his broken home.

 

SOMIN'S POV

 

I was having a stroll with my dog in the park when i saw this familiar figure running very fast thru the snow. 'Ice Prince?' i thought.

I picked up my dog and started following him. I think i saw a crystal like liquid from his eyes. Im sure that he is crying. He stopped in an abandoned playground and sat in one of the swings there. I can feel his sadness so i approached him "Hyunjoong?" i was expecting him to shoo me away but he just kept his silence with his head bowed down.

I sat in one of the vacant swing beside him and joined in his silent time.

 

HYUNJOONG'S POV

 

I saw Ms.Sunshine walking towards me holding her dog.

"Hyunjoong?" i heard her calling me but i ignored her. She sat down beside me and started to silent down. After an hour of being in silent , she stand up and started to walk away. "I'll be going. I think you need to be alone." she said.

"Wait." i grabbed her hand and i know that she was shocked but  i really need someone now. Maybe i need her sunshine. "Please stay here for a while." those words escaped my mouth and i looked at him with my begging eyes.

She flashed a sweet smile at me and sit back on the swing. I saw her doe eyes fixed on me. She really looked like that girl.

"Is there anything bothering you?" i heard her ask me.

"Family matter." i said in a very low voice but enough for her to hear it.

"Oh.." i heard her tiny voice answered.

"My mom is leaving me at my dad's house. i started my story and i know that she's listening intently. "My pure business minded dad." i continued. "Since i was a kid, my dad only thinks about me as his heir not as his son." tears are starting to form again but i managed to stop them from falling. "To my dad, money and wealth are more important than his family. Then my mom discovered that he was having an affair with other woman."

I saw her gasp and covered with his hands.

"They file a divorce and it was granted now. Now i am going to suffer in my everyday Robot-Like life." i cant hold my tears anymore so they started falling one by one.

Just then a pair of arms was wrapped around and they are keeping me warm.

"Cry it out." she whispered in me. "I wont leave you here, i promise." she hugged me tighter and without knowing it, i continued crying to her shoulder.

"Thank You."

 

*At SoMin's Place*

SOMIN'S POV

I never thought that the ice prince like him is keeping a big problem like this. Maybe that's why he's cold, just to hide his sadness to everyone.

Flashback started flowing in my head.

It was when i was still 14. My mom and dad are constantly arguing about something i don't understand. Mom says that something is up with my dad. But still at my young age i can tell that is really something wrong. Just then , i discovered that dad has another woman. I ran away from them and decided to stay at my friends place. Its an apartment type so i needed to use an elevator. I was scared riding an elevator but then i met this boy. I felt safe with him. Just then , the thing that i was afraid to happen has started happening. The elevator went black. Everyone knows that i am very scared in the dark but i kept my cheerful character by smiling at him when a small light was pointed at me. But suddenly, my true feelings started to come out and cried silently at the corner.

I don't want to be a burden to this boy but my tears are betraying me. He walked closely to me and asked if i was fine. I said that i am but begged him to just stay closer because i am afraid in the dark. He does and he even gave me a warm hug. Then i drift into a deep sleep and when i woke up , mom and dad are looking at. They really looked worried and i cried.

I just realize that i didn't even say thank you to the  boy. I searched from him for the past 5 years but until now , i haven't found him. But im not losing my hopes. I know fate will bring us back together.

 

*HYUNJOONG AND SOMIN'S FRIENDS APARTMENT*

HYUNJOONG'S POV

I was walking in Youngsaeng's place and was about to ride elevator when a girl's voice "Oppa!" was rushing. "Let me in too." the girl said so i pressed the hold button.

When i turned around, i realized that it was Jung Somin. She was busy getting something in her bag so i guess, she haven't realized yet that it was me. "9th floor please." she said.

I pressed the button and it started moving. Something's weird? This scene already happened to me.

Somin finally saw me and she almost yelled "Kim Hyunjoong?!" with his eyes widened and i almost laughed. I can see that she's blushing.

 "What are you doing here?" she asked.

"Visiting a friend." i answered. "You?" i asked back.

An awkward silence between us. 

"So, how are you now?" she finally broke it.

"Im already fine now. Im living separately from my dad now." i said.

"Really? That's good." she said with that familiar sweet smile again.

"By the way, thank you again." i smiled towards her. But then the elevator stared to shake again and the lights all went ou. 'Not again.' i thought. Everything is happening again.

It got silent but i cant help but worry to Somin. "Somin?" i called her but no response.

"Somin?" i called again but there's still no response. I panicked so i pulled my phone from my pocket and pressed it. The light was just enough for me to see her in the corner with a tear in her eyes. A automatically approached him.

"Are you okay?" i asked. 

"Im fine." he tried to smile but her tears just kept on falling.

Now im sure , she's the girl. "Are you afraid in the dark?"

"How did you know?" she's confused.

"My God , ive been looking for you for the past 5 years and finally i found you." i hugged him tightly.

She's really confused now but she still managed to say "Elevator boy?"

"Yes!" I exclaimed happily.

I can feel her hugging me back.

 

SOMIN'S POV

Finally my life is complete! I found my long lost Love or should i say , he found me. 

Hyunjoong and i are now together. He confessed to me the day after that elevator incident and im so happy.

He's not the cold Ice Prince now. Instead, he became my Mr.Sunshine. Im still afraid riding an elevator now but he's always assuring me that he'll always be there when i need him.

He dont allow me riding elevator alone. :)

Such a sweet Boyfriend.

Im so proud that i changed him.
