The long time best of friends were eating lunch at the school cafeteria. They were happy sharing stories of their childhood when Chanyeol suddenly asked the widely smiling Baekhyun;

“Bacon, do you think we can still be friends after ten more years?”

Baekhyun looked as his derp looking best friend then just shrug off his shoulder telling him;

“Ten years? That’s a long walk, Chan.”

“So do you think we could still be friends after that oh so long walk, Bacon?”

Baekhyun after suppressing his true feelings towards his childhood best friend deeply sighed then said after gathering tons and tons of courage;

“Who knows, after ten years we’ll be having the same…”

Baekhyun paused and starts to fill his eyes by the features of his best friend. Chanyeol who was busy eating his fries felt the sticky stare of his best friend then asked;

“Yah! Are you okay?”

Baekhyun startled look down then hissed;

“I am!”

Chanyeol snorted then asked again;

“Now what Bacon, do you think we can still be friends after ten long years?”

The latter sighed. Drink his red iced tea scratch his head then lowly mumbled while hiding his blushing face from the taller one;

“After ten years? Well, who knows we’ll be sharing the same surname.”

Chanyeol was taken aback. He didn’t know how to react. He just couldn’t believe that the man he secretly have had the same feelings as he is.

“You didn’t like me the same way as I do, no Chan?”

Baekhyun asked Chanyeol. He (Chan) vigorously shook his head then start to blabber telling his best friend;

“Nah, uhm I mean I---”

“You don’t like me.”

Baekhyun bitterly said shifting his body away from Chanyeol. The taller boy grabbed his best friend’s delicate hands then truthfully says;

“I like you nah, it’s not like Bacon. I love you a lot.”

“You’re lying. You’re just making me feel good!”

Baekhyun childishly spat. Chanyeol rolled his big round eyes; cupped his best friend’s face inch then asked;

“What shall I do to make you believe that I really love you?”

Baekhyun looked at Chanyeol. He was timid and shy unlike his best friend that’s why he doesn’t get where in the hell did he get the guts to say;

“Kiss me…”

His best friend didn’t waste time. He felt Chan’s lips on his as butterflies flee in his stomach. The kiss wasn’t that long and it wasn’t that short. It was oh so magical. When Chanyeol broke the kiss, he asked his best friend;

“Did I justify what I say, Bacon?”

Baekhyun smiled then nodded boldly telling the taller one;

“Can you justify it again, Chan?”

“Sure baby, anything.”

Chanyeol said savoring Baekhyun’s lips again. after that lunch break, they decided to ditch off the school to spend intimate time together slowly making way to their much awaited ten years after.

*Ten Years After*

“My God Byun Baekhyun! Can you just f8cking calm down and get dressed?”

Baekhyun’s mother hissed at his son who was having a nervous breakdown. Today was Baekhyun and Chanyeol’s wedding.

And yes, after ten years, they’ll be sharing the same surname. Byun Baekhyun will now be Park Baekhyun. He will now be the lawfully wedded wife of Chanyeol.

“Umma, I’m so nervous!”

Baekhyun said. His mother slapped his arms then said;

“Son, it was Chanyeol! Your boyfriend for ten years! What’s there to be nervous about? Your dream of having the same surname as his will now be granted! So go, forget that f8cking nervousness and prepare yourself for your wedding!”

His mother ranted. Baekhyun on the other hand; though damn nervous decided to get dressed preparing for his wedding.

He was nervously waiting for his parents to get him off the suit while wondering how Chanyeol looks like at this hour. He haven’t been seeing or hearing anything about his Chanyeol. It was a family tradition that the bride and groom wouldn’t be able to see or hear each other’s voice a week before the wedding.

“What if he changed his mind? What if he backed out of our wedding?”

Baekhyun asked himself. He was wondering and thinking deep when the room door opened revealing his parents who was beautifully dressed according to the occasion.

“Let’s go. The groom is already at the function hall.”

His father said. They slowly get down the fully decorated function hall. Chanyeol was standing happily in the middle together with his parents waiting for Baekhyun to march his way towards the facilitating priest.

When Baekhyun starts to march his way towards Chanyeol, everything gets in slow motion. The only person he sees is no one else but Chanyeol. He stood beside Chanyeol tightly holding each other’s arms lovingly.

Not caring about the priest’s preaches, the two was just sharing sweet glances. When they start to exchange vows and I do’s the people witnessing the solemn wedding was oh so quiet they were just eyeing the two who are busy smiling at each other.

The wedding kiss was magical too.

“I love you Chan…”

“I love you too Bacon…”

And right there and then, the two shared the same surname; holding on to the promise that they’ll love each other until their last breath.

“I’m so happy that my surname is the same as yours…”

Baekhyun told his husband who was busy scanning the gifts they get. Chanyeol looked at his wife; smiled; kissed him lovingly then said;

“Who knows, after ten years little Bacon and Chan were running around the house?”

The two laughed and lay beside each other drifting themselves to sleep hugging each other…
