Character’s Background

Personality:Ava is a perfect mash between a girly girl and a urban chick. She can be both intimidating and sweet. She seems cold at first since it takes a while for her to open up to you but once she has, she is friendly. Ava is definately a rebel, always has been. She get's scolded often by the managers when she says something that isn't proper for her to say. Is she feels like something she is doing or seeing is wrong, she will call that out and a lot of the time the company doesn'
t like it. Ava finds it very hard to admit she is wrong or to take orders. She has a dark, weird, awkward American sense of humor and doesn't hide it. Since her humor is very American sometimes she comes of as unlady like which bothers her IMMENSELY. Ava is very bothered by the fact that she thinks she isn't womanly or pretty enough. Ava thinks she is to blunt and boyish compared to other girls and thinks that she turns off boys from approaching her. She feels like she isn't thin enough to be considered beautiful although she refuses to lose weight since she feels like she doesn't need to.

Family Background: Ava's parent's got married at a fairly young age which is where her approval of marrying young comes from. Her dad, Park Dong Sun met Ava's mother, Dulce, the year he came to American on vacation. They got married almost 2 years after they had met and stayed in Los Angeles. Ava is the oldest and the one that caused the most trouble according to her dad. Next came the twin's, a boy and a girl. Kang Dae and Hana are now five years old. Ava is very clothes to her younger siblings. She goes to pick them up from school as much as she can. The Park family moved to South Korea when Ava was 12. Her father decided to open up a woodshop in Gwangju, his home town.

The relationship between Ava's parents was very scandalous once they moved to Korea. The fact that Dong Sun married a foreigner, especially a woman who wasn't white caused a lot of whispering while they walked down the streets.

Likes: [5+] She loves to get manicures and pedicures. She legit has over 20 bottles of nail polish in her dorm for whenever she feels like changing her nail color.
Ava is a history nerd. Most of the books she reads have to deal with the history of other cultures.
She likes to work on wood carvings and making wood animals. Her favorite is a big wild cat she made.
She likes to tease the other members by being sarcastic towards them.
She likes to beat boys in dance competitions.

Habits: [3+]One of Ava's habits is applying hand cream about 10 times a day. Even though other's have said she doesn't have rough hands she can't help but apply cream.
Whenever she see's a member concentrating on something, whenever they walk by her she nonchalantly pushes them so they can lose their balance. She is definitely the troll of the group.
Cursing in English whenever she messes up or is annoyed.

Whenever she is scolded in front of others, she talks back even more so that she doesn't feel as embarrassed and small.
She got a tattoo when she turned 18 of a serpent on her right side. She managed to hide it for a couple of weeks until they had to go to a fitting and the stylists saw. She was this close to being kicked out.
Whenever her parent's need time for themselves, Ava likes to bring the twins to practice and have them run around.
She has absolutely no aegyo. She hates whenever people force her to do it because she ends up making a fool of herself.
She likes being called her English name, Ava more than her Korean name.

Ava feels powerful when dancing and rapping. It was the only place where looking intimidating and strong didn't seem to be a bad thing.

Ava's voice took the longest to mature out of all the girls'. She just could never seem to let herself go in singing. She felt like singing was for pretty, shining girls, not for her. It took many sleepless nights and scoldings to achieve Ava's confidance in her singing ability but now it's one of the things she likes to show off. However, rapping will always be on top with dancing. Her father was the one who introduced her to rap, from N.W.A to Nas to her favorite rappers, Notorious B.I.G and Kanye West. Ava could rap in English before becoming a trainee but mastered how to rap in Korean once she joined SM. She writes her own raps.

Trainee Days

How you were discovered: Ava had lost a bet one day and so her punishment was to do the chicken dance in front of a large crowd in the street. Well she did that but after she was done and everyone was laughing, she decided to dance as of she was in a competition to save face. An SM talent scout happened to be in the crowd and approached Ava and swayed her into going to a casting call.
