I’m sorry.

Two simple words, that’s all they were. They were the last two words I would hear from her; or so I thought; but at that time I did not know what she meant –only an argument, those two words and the next day she was gone.

She had left without a single goodbye; indifferent, it seemed, to the hurt, the pain and anger that she had instilled in me; unaware of the hardening of my heart; and...the gratefulness I felt -it was something that only I could thank her for- as I had become a stronger person.
