Description
Fifteen years ago, fire fell from the skies.
Fifteen years ago, everything changed. The skyline of the city formerly known as Seoul - the city that had been the most modern, the most advanced, the best prepared for such an event - was now a charred skeleton of abandoned skyscrapers and turned over cars. Luckily, throughout the years, the government had been funding a project of expanding Seoul into the underground. And just in time. As fire rained down, the citizens of Seoul took to the new underground haven. The city, named New Seoul, is still brand new. There are problems - starting with a government beginning to panic as food starts to run out...

Foreword
The gandola moved quietly, efficiently along the salvaged wire. Kevin knew better than to press himself up against the window, despite how much he wanted to be one of the first people to see New Seoul in his car. It was his first time going to New Seoul.
Three bells rang out overhead from the loudspeaker system, as a pre-recorded voice began to speak.
"We will be descending soon. Please return to your seats."
Kevin pouted, his expression making him look younger than his twenty one years, as he turned around, only to see that his previous seat had been taken by a young couple, faces pale with apprehension. Kevin was pushed by the crowd as each tried to grab a seat, finding himself at the far end of the car. He plopped down in the only remaining seat left.
"First time to New Seoul?" his neighbor asked as Kevin crossed his arms and legs . Kevin looked over, looking the curly red head up and down. The other male's eyebrow seemed to be missing some sections. Kevin guessed it was from the...incident. Kevin had been seven when it happened - and he still didn't understand why. Maybe New Seoul would hold some answers.
"Yeah," Kevin finally answered. "What about you?"
His neighbor shook his head. "Second time," he said with a slight smile.
Kevin nodded, falling silent as he stared out the window.
Suddenly, he gasped.
New Seoul sprawled out in front of him, a glittering jewel of light in the otherwise dark world.
"It's so...beautiful..."
