Foreword
The wind blew roughly, and it covered everyone's sight as it was bringing along the dusts and ashes—making the air turned into dark color, scary as it has never be. They could still feel the heat, but somehow they felt cold as shivers ran down their spines and it feared them even more.
The sky was clearly shed of purple mixed with dark orange—showing that it was probably near dawn, which explained that the cold war lasted quite long enough. It already ended, but they felt even worse.
Baekhyun's knees crashed onto the ground as he found his legs weren't strong enough to support his body. He was panting heavily-air seemed hard to in and out of his lungs, but he managed to breathe.
The silver metal of his armor has broken on his left side over his chest, burned down and it was dry black now, ruining the gold pattern that was drawn all over it - turned from a shining armor to nothing. Fortunately his sword was still fine; even now it was just sprawling above the cold hard ground.
Pain, all over his body. He could even smell some burning flesh and he frowned immediately. A small growl escaped his lips, as he finally realized that it was his own flesh, causing his left arm covered in blood.
He finally looked around at his surroundings. Nothing much. The trees that were there before has gone, left a few half branches and some of them has scattered into pieces, burning in flame. It was dark indeed, but he could see his fellow companions or his best friends—more like brothers to be exact—bend down onto the ground as their situation were highly similar to him. Tired, injured and hurt.
After a moment, Baekhyun heard his leader's voice, as he was helping him up and support him to stand long enough.
"Are you okay?"
His voice seemed very weak, but there was a hint of courage inside it. Suho looked slightly pale, but he still quite strong. His armor was fine but there were some scratches on his face and a few injuries on his arms and legs.
Baekhyun answered him with a nod, but his expression was still dark, even there was a faint of thankfulness in his eyes and Suho understood that.
The others joined them not long after that, and Baekhyun couldn't help but pitied them as he saw that almost all of them couldn't walk properly. He looked at Kai and his gaze showed him that he respect Kai more than he does usually, as the boy has fought all he might which was left him in a critical state.
Kai was bleeding, almost everywhere. His face pale, and it seemed that he has broken one of his bone structure but he still gathered his last energies to be able to stand up. The boy was still holding his bow, even his arrows were now gone.
Chanyeol and D.O didn't look far worse but it didn't mean that they were fine. They both looked extremely exhausted and ran off power. Which was the same like their youngest one, Sehun, which still managed to look strong yet he was injured so badly.
The six of them gazing at the same direction, right in front of them and directly ahead. As there, stood up a one huge magnificently (or maybe was magnificent) tree, as they always calls it The Tree of Life. Now it turned to be a one dead tree, black and burned.
The tree was somehow has been separated into two, but the other half has gone.
Their eyes seemed to show a full of sadness, as they now embracing each other while staring at the tree.
The moment didn't change even that the place was now full with man covered with black robes as known as dark armies. They followed by some people, wearing robes but off their hood (unlike the dark armies) and finally approached the six princes.
That people looked somehow very good looking, all of them, and there was a women, red wine haired who looked quite mysterious.
"Where are they?" A man, one of the one with robes finally spoke. He looked like he was in the mid of 30s, and seemed to be the oldest one.
Kangta was his name.
The six princes finally broke apart, their gaze fell on him, but none of them look very lively.
"They're gone." Kai said. It was short, and seemed very bitter.
Kangta's face darkened, and he seemed very angry. The rest of his people, which was known as The Council, gathered with them as they demanded for explanation.
Baekhyun drifted apart, away from the others. He didn't want to deal with the council now, after all the things that happened.
He stared at the sky, which was now surprisingly showing a shade of something unbelievable yet it was very real to be seen.
The dark sky shaded into soft images of a kingdom, oddly it seemed upside down. The longer Baekhyun stared at it, the more he realized that it actually showed a reflection of their kingdom, but it was real.
"So that is M kingdom, huh?" A soft yet strong voice could be heard as that person's gaze averted up to the sky also.
Baekhyun turned and found the red wine haired woman, stood by his side. He knew her well, but not too much. She has been called The Lady of Fortune, the person who could predict the future and knows fates, one of the members of The Council that had incredibly power of magic.
"Yeah. Unbelievable, very..." Baekhyun answered, and it was a bit more showing a disappointment.
"So, what do you think will happen next?" Her voice was now firm, showing curiosity as she expected Baekhyun's answer quite much.
Baekhyun let out a heavy sigh, and his eyes trailed to their castle in a distance. He actually didn't know, as he couldn't think of anything.
"The world may now covered with coldness, and it will probably last very long." The Lady said. She was somehow managed to smile, despite in a situation like this. And Baekhyun wondered why.
He still clueless though, most people around here always used parables to say some things, and he actually despised it.
"The cold days will soon begin. But just like seasons, those cold days won't last forever..."
She finally took a step forward and continued to another ones, while Baekhyun was just staring at her from behind. The ground felt so rough, as it was still covered with crushed rocks and gravels that were mostly black.
And then her words continued.
"You all may be separated; even by place, or even by all of hatred. The days will be filled by resentfulness towards each other, and even you're all not strong yet to compare the other ones, but there is still hope. Even it is just a slightest one."
Her words seemed so sure, yet it seemed difficult to endure as to make it true.
Baekhyun's brows knitted together before he started to speak,
"What do you mean?"
The Lady's lips curved into a smile, a soft yet convincing smile. A weak yet a trustful one. And Baekhyun was sure of it, that her words meant more than it heard.
"Someone will come for us all, specifically for you guys. When and how, I'm not quite sure. But my instinct highly tells that it will happen. And for that I am completely sure." She said which made Baekhyun fell into deep thoughts more but he still couldn't solve it.
"Who?" He finally asked.
The Lady of Fortune turned to him, her eyes full of hope and fired with determination. Beside that, it was filled with so many riddles and puzzles, that always make people wonder of those mysterious eyes.
"A savior." She answered before shudders ran through Baekhyun spine-as his body felt something different.
A feeling that he never felt before.
As if fate has called him.
