“So where are you taking me? You better take me somewhere good, we slept 3am in the morning to talk about… what was the topic about again?” tao asked

“I seriously cannot remember” you tilted your head.

“Well whatever, where are we going? Come on tell me” tao said with a hint of cuteness on his tone of voice.

“Actually, I have no idea” you said and blinked at him.

He looked back at you and pouted “So you took me out on my birthday for nothing?” he asked

You looked at him and weakly smiled.

He shook his head “aigoo. C’mon let’s watch a movie! I heard the Avengers movie is very cool!” Tao said and grabbed your hand to drag you away with him.

The two of you arrived at the movie house. Bought tickets and you insisted to pay for it since it was his birthday but he didn’t let you pay. Tao was always like this, even with his hyung friends, he would always pay, and He didn’t want to bother people.

The two of you bought a bucket of popcorn and two drinks then proceeded inside the place.

A few trailers were being shown and then the movie started.

Without the two of you realizing it, the show has already ended. Tao being a martial art guy had fun with the fighting scenes; you were just giggling at him and nodding every now and then.

The two of you decided to go to a restaurant first and eat dinner. Again, tao insisted on paying you cannot anything; he said it was birthday and everything he says must be done.

After that the two of you cannot decide on where to go
“I think we should go home” you said

“Time is 7pm” Tao paused then looked at you “No, no and no, it’s too early” Tao said
“Don’t you have any plans with your friends? OH! Kris oppa! You should treat him too” you said

“No, I don’t have any plans with them” Tao said and kept on walking
“Then where are we going?” you asked him.

“Hmm” he tapped his lips and then smiled “To the park” he said.

You looked at him and just nodded. The two of you walked side by side.

Not long after, the two of you were silently watching the stars go brighter, watching the cars passing by, looking at the people taking their precious time at the park wanting some peace.

It was quiet but there was no awkward atmosphere or whatever. It was perfectly comfortable. You looked over at Tao and saw that his eyes were closed but his head was facing the sky.

You looked down and started to play with your fingers. Thinking about it, it was like a simple day, just like any other day you and Tao would go out. You weren’t contented on what you did. You then sighed and pouted.

You looked up at Tao again and gasped, he was looking at you. You blinked and looked away.

“What’s bothering you?” Tao asked

You looked back at him and tilted your head “eh?”

“I heard you sigh you know” Tao said

“Oh that…” you said and looked down at your fingers again.

“Yeah, that” he said then lowered his head to look at your face again “What’s wrong fish?” Tao asked

You kept quiet and kept on playing your finger. Tao rolled his eyes and took your hand so you would stop playing with it.

You looked up at him and blinked
“Stop playing with your hands! It’s distracting” he said “What’s really bothering my favorite girl?”

“Well” you paused

“Well what?” Tao asked

“I didn’t know what to do today and it ended up boring” you sighed

“What do you mean boring?” Tao asked

“I mean, I was thinking of giving you a surprise party but it’s too late to tell everyone and then I was planning to give you a gift and, and, and I mean, If I will look for one now it’s too hard to buy one that’s very unique and –“

You were saying everything out without a pause when Tao leaned in and kissed you lightly on the lips then he flicked your forehead, your eyes wide as a plate already.

“You pabo, today’s not boring, I enjoy every time of my life with you so don’t think it’s boring!” Tao said and grabbed your hand then he looked up at the sky again and closed his eyes.

You stared at him for a long time.

“Stop staring at me like I’m some kind of monster, it’s burning me, I know you’re judging me already cause of what I did” Tao said

You blinked and shifted on your sit, you looked in front of you, your hand still on Tao’s and the two of you still beside each other.

“Tao” you called him

“Hmmm?” he asked

“I’m not judging you but why--” You were stopped by Tao

“Why did I kiss you?” Tao asked and opened his eyes

You nodded

“Well, Cause I love the best girl in the whole wide world” Tao said

“Ah~ I get it! You were--” you said and was stopped by Tao again when he spoke

“No, it’s not in a best friend way” Tao said

“Eh?” you looked at him and blinked

“I love you as you are, as a girl” Tao said “And being with you like this during my birthday, being able to confess like this during my birthday is the best gift, Unless--” Tao stopped

“Unless what? I’ll reject you?” you said and he didn’t speak

You then smiled to yourself as you bit your lip to stop it from growing bigger
“Don’t worry Tao..” you said

Tao looked up at the sky again and sighed

You did too

“Cause I love you too”
