The stairs to the library were the last defenses of a lavish stronghold. As Myungsoo mounted each consecutive step, he battled a larger and harder war with his conflicting emotions...to stalk, or not to stalk?

Anyways, Myungsoo had reached the top of the stairs. He checked his reflection in the glass of the door to the library and pulled open the door. As if his Amber Radar had went off, Myungsoo snapped his head towards Amber's direction.

Myungsoo approached cautiously.

"So, Amber, how's it going?"

Amber turned around.

"Good."

"What are you doing?"

"Homework."

"Oh. Okay."

Amber nodded. "I have to go to class now."

Myungsoo sat frozen as she stood up, gathered her books, and began sauntering off. Suddenly, he shook himself out of his reverie and called out--

"Amber!"

She glanced back but continued walking.

"I--I--uh..." Myungsoo drifted off as she got further and further away from him. Defeated, he plopped down in his seat.

"But she was...right here and..." Myungsoo pitifully mumbled to himself. "No. I will...talk to her after school. I will talk to her after school. After. School. Yeah..."

Myungsoo looked up. "Amber!"

"Sup," she chuckled.

Myungsoo blinked. "I'm...doing good..."

She laughed. The cutest laugh in the whole wide world. She plopped down on the ground next to him.

"So, where'd your Break Club go?" Myungsoo asked hesitantly.

"They went home," she said. "But that's okay with you, right?"

Myungsoo nodded furiously. "Yeah," he choked out.

She smiled again.

"It's your birthday today right?" Myungsoo asked. "Happy Birthday!"

"Haha, thanks," Amber said. "Happy birthday to you too."

Myungsoo smiled back. "Thanks?"

Amber drew her knees to her body. "Do you...like me or something?"

Myungsoo coughed. "What? Who...told you that?"

"It was kind of obvious," she said.

"Oh," he blushed.

Amber poked his cheek. "You're cute."

Myungsoo coughed again. "Thanks."

Amber rolled her eyes. "Are you always this unresponsive?"

"No! I'm usually funny and charming and charismatic and smart and--"

Amber chuckled. "Your face is red."

"Oh. Right."

"If you want to know," Amber whispered, "I like you too."

Myungsoo slapped his cheeks. "Okay."

"What are you thinking right now?"

"That you're the cutest girl in the whole wide world..." Myungsoo said absentmindedly.
