Eternity
Description
A carefree laugh escaped Sooyoung’s lips as she ran around the line of Cherry Blossom trees. The flowers bloomed beautifully and the breeze was cold. A scream left her lips as soon as she realized that she needed to run faster and in different directions so as not to get caught. She heard his laughter behind her and it made her heart flutter... no, it made her heart soar.
“You can run all you want, my lady.” Changmin called out as he chased after her. “But I will always catch you.”
Despite her long hanbok that she could easily trip on, Sooyoung used her long legs to her advantage. “Says who?”
“Says me.” He smirked triumphantly when he eventually caught up to her – thanks to his own pair of long legs – wrapping his arms tightly around her slender waist. “I wish it’d always be like this…”
“Min oppa…” Sooyoung sighed, knowing what he meant. It was the topic she had been avoiding to talk about at the first place. “There’s nothing we can do… You’re required to go to war soon.”
Changmin smiled sadly, tightening the grip around her waist. “I won’t give up, Soo. I’ll find a way to get out of this.”
“Don’t, oppa… You know your family won’t like that.” She sighed one more time. “Just promise me one thing, oppa. Promise me you’ll get back safely.”
“I promise, Sooyoung.” The dark haired man rested her forehead against hers. “But whatever happens… Promise me that I’m the only one you’ll ever love. Because I’m promising you that. Whatever happens to us, I’ll always love you until the end of time.”
Letting a tear drop from her eyes, she nodded. “I promise.”
