The Faded to Gray Dancer

Description

Helping a teenage girl cope with the death of her best friend is a lot harder than what LuHan thought it would be.

Foreword

Prologue

No matter how hard I try to forget, I can't. I miss you so much and I know I always will. People tell me to let go. They tell me to move on but how can I? How can I move on when you meant so much to me? You were my best friend, my biggest fan and my older sister. So tell me, how? How could I ever forget a person as amazing and inspirational as you?

I still miss you. I miss you so much. There is not one day that passes by where I don't think about you, even if it's for a split second. You cross my mind so often, it's like you're there 24/7. You're there all the time and you won't leave.

Remember all those days we spent dancing together? Remember all the praises we got and how joyful we were whenever we perfected a new choreography?

It's not like that any more.

I can't dance any more. I just can't. And you know how heart breaking that is, right? Dancing was, and still is, my passion and to all of a sudden not be able to dance any more? I just... I don't know. I don't know what to say. My mind just can't form the words that I want to say. Everything's so much harder and difficult with you gone.

And what makes it even harder is that I have to drive by your house every day. And when I do, I am constantly reminded that you're gone. I am constantly reminded that I have to keep driving and not stop. I can't visit you any more. I can't see you any more. You're gone, forever.

I miss you. I miss you so much.

I wish you could come back to me.

Characters

Lu Han: Sweet, caring and romantic; LuHan has girls falling for him left and right. His adorable baby face, his alluring personality and not to forget to mention his undeniable talents; who wouldn't fall for him? However, he has his eyes on a girl he's never met before. Lee MiYoung. His older sister, MiYoung's dance teacher, brags about MiYoung often to LuHan, praising how amazing she is as a dancer. Naturally, as a dancer himself, this catches his attention. However, when he hears about the predicament that MiYoung finds herself in, his caring side of his personality shows. He wants to meet her, help her, take care of her. Why? Because he's been in that boat before, and he knows what it's like to once be on top, only to tumble back down.

Lee MiYoung: MiYoung was the best dancer in her class, hands down. However, the sudden death of her best friend sends her tumbling back down to the bottom. She was the optimistic dancer who always believed in herself and others. Never seen without a smile on her face or helping another person; she was known as the heaven-sent angel. But when her best friend dies, everything changes. Her once bright and positive attitude turns dark and negative as she falls into the world of depression. Sleepless nights, constant nightmares, therapy visits; MiYoung has hit rock bottom. She's afraid. Afraid of getting too attached to someone again in fear that she may lose them, just like how she lost her best friend.

"An arrow can be shot only by pulling it backward. So when life is dragging you back with difficulties, it means that it's going to launch you into something great."
