The rain didn't stop me from rushing to Seoul Subway. I pulled my hoodie over my head and ran up the flight of stairs to buy my ticket. The place was already packed and the clock didn't even hit 8 am yet. I put down money on the counter. I wait a few minutes looking around for a familiar face but spotting no one. .

I am Heo Eunkyung.

17 years old and I just got in Seoul University. This is my first time taking the subway. Maybe I did take it once, but it was a long long time ago. Ever since my father went away with another woman, my mother and I were left to fend for ourselves. She even applied for odd jobs like cleaning other peoples houses, being a waitress, and on most days she goes out to the market to sell rice cakes. I help her when I'm not busy and it's a great thing that we get by.

At first I was not used to this. But I life goes on, even after a tragedy.

It's up to us to make our life 'normal' again.

I go inside the train and sit next to grandmother. The door of the train was about to close when a guy enters, his hair was wet and he was panting really hard. He took off his hat and shook his head. Water to sprinkled on some of the people including another old lady, who hits him lightly with her bag.

"young man! go dry yourself somewhere!" she huffed.

He bowed down to apologize but the lady just hit him again. "You yong people need to learn!" she said.

I accidentally let out a giggle. 

He looked at my direction. "What's so funny?"

I didn't expect him to ask me that. I never talked to strangers. And never wll. 

I just flipped open my phone and pretended to text someone. 

He mumbles something and finds a seat for himself.

That was my first encounter with Park Chanyeol.
