Foreword
Hello everyone! It's time Jiayun dove into a chaptered story again, and this one is going to be decidedly more lighthearted than This Time of Night. There will be more 2min and Jonkey (because I love them!), and also Sihae, Kyuhyuk, Joon/Onew which does not have an official name in my head that doesn't reduce me to giggles, and many others. :D
I hope that everyone enjoys this, it's going to be fairly fluffy and lighthearted, with some little bits of drama. I would like to make this clear though: This story's dominant couple is going to be Kyuhyuk (and 2min!). I like Kyuhyuk. If you read my story, I'm more than delighted to have you! If you review/comment, I'll probably love you more. If you review and comment that you prefer Eunhae and Kyumin, I will probably delete your comments. If you want to go read Eunhae and Kyumin, this site is filled to the rafters with it, by all means go and find some. I will not appreciate comments telling me that you prefer couples that I'm not writing. I understand that you're trying to give me information, or perhaps bolster stories that I someday write with those couples, and that's fine. But it's insulting, and bound to hurt my feelings, and I want to get that out of the way.
I don't go find romantic stories and leave comments that I prefer horror. I do not find Hanchul stories and comment I prefer Sichul; that's not constructive, it's not kind, and it's not productive for either the writer of the story or for myself.
I hope that the effort and care I put into my stories will speak for itself. I hope that all of you enjoy. :D Expect a bit of romance, humor, fluff, and more than a hint of the fae and supernatural. *squees*.
...Jiayun is a little over-excited for this one...

The sky was almost always a clear, bright Carolina blue, the horizon painted with perfectly white clouds, streams of sun rays generously warming the white sandy beaches on the east side of the isle. On the west, where the large volcano slumbered still, the sands were black with obsidian, offering an enrapturing contrast. Even the regular afternoon downpours were more delight than troublesome.
The waters all around were a crystal green-blue and visible right to the sand beneath. From the south, there were glimpses of coral in an almost endless array of delicate colors. The wildlife there reflected their home, in a glorious abundance of shapes and tones foreign to the world on land.
In many ways, it was a veritable slice of paradise. The island had a year-round population consisting of a few hundred people, with more that joined during the summer and around the holidays. Small enough that everyone-knew-everyone that was local, but large enough that there still ran little risk of overexposure.
Within, the cheerful population still had their groups and organizations, and there were always, always things to do. Their tourism industry was steady and much appreciated, but not overwhelming. It was perfect, giving enough room to all of its visitors to enjoy without the ever-present danger of overpopulation and crowding.
The rumors of the island being touched by the supernatural, of things more than human, of spirits and changelings, of ghosts and hauntings kept a steady stream of thrill-seekers crawling in, but kept the superstitious far at bay. The islanders themselves tended to either accept the myths and legends with enigmatic smiles and calm understanding - or else resolutely mocked the mere idea of such foolishness.
But - in the quiet morning hours, as the sun slowly crawled over the ocean's horizons, conjuring shadows that danced just on the edge of imagining, even those whose doubt was most powerful couldn't help but to wonder...
What if?
