"My heart that became as cold as ice"

"D-Do you want to go out with me, S-Suzy?" A male student asked her nervously. Suzy forced a tiny smile.

"Sorry." and with that, she walked away. Not feeling anything, walking straight ahead, nothing to see, nothing to do. She walked past all the gossiping girls without a care.

She attended class, not paying attention to anyone, anything. The bell rang, and it was lunchtime. A bunch of girls came up to her and asked.

"Do you want to eat lunch with us?" Suzy looked at them with dull eyes.

"No thanks." She got up and walked off, leaving the girls, who were now annoyed.

Suzy went up to the rooftop and lied down, recalling past memories.

Taecyeon pinched Suzy playfully as she was eating her lunch. Suzy shot a glance at Taecyeon, while he just shrugged.

"Oppa! I know you did it!" Taecyeon laughed, and cleared his throat.

"But according to my eyes, there was someone else tha-" Suzy used her hand to cover his mouth.

"No excuses accepted." That made them both laugh. They lied down together, into each others arms, as Taecyeon kissed Suzy's forehead softly.

Suzy scoffed at the memory. Feeling boiling inside, as she thought of another memory.

Suzy opened the door to the roof quietly, wanting to surprise Taecyeon. Her eyes widened with shock as she saw Taecyeon with another girl and he kissed her.

Suzy didn't know what to do, she stood there in the state of shock, she ran back down the stairs and thought it was just and illusion, Taecyeon wouldn't cheat on her, he wasn't like that.

The bell rang and Suzy happily smiled at the fact that Taecyeon called her out, she went to their rooftop and Taecyeon had a serious look on his face.

Suzy knew something was coming, but ignored it, not wanting to face the fact.

"Haha~ Taecyeon, you want to go on a date with me, right?" Suzy said with a cheeky smile. Taecyeon's expression didn't change. He grabbed Suzy's shoulders firmly, and said it straight out.

"Let's break up."

Suzy boiled inside, but still couldn't do anything, her heart was officially ice cold. No matter what boils inside of her, it won't melt her heart.

She returned to class and the teacher announced something, as a new boy came in.

"Okay guys, there will be a new student coming in, make sure you take care of him! Introduce yourself please."

The boy kept staring at Suzy, who was looking out the window, not caring about anything.

"Hello everyone! My name is Kim Soohyun. I hope we can all be friends!" Everyone in the class clapped. The teacher smiled in satisfaction, while scanning the room.

"Ah! There is a spare seat over there," The teacher looked at Suzy. "Suzy, please take care of Soohyun for me." Suzy looked over at them both and sighed, but also thought that Soohyun looked quite cute.

"Yes." Suzy replied with a lifeless voice.

Throughout the lesson, Soohyun stared at Suzy. Suzy felt nervous as he was staring at her all the time.
She couldn't take it anymore and turned around, but that just made their eyes meet. Her heart suddenly skipped a beat at their intense eye contact.

She frowned in shock, but thought that her heart was just playing games with her. At that time, the bell rang.

Suzy sighed, as it was the time that they were to be separated. She walked towards the toilets and went into the cubicle, then, she heard some giggling girls and something blocking the cubicle door. She felt shocked and she banged on the door, forcing the girls to open the door.

"Hey! Someone open the door! Ple-" Suddenly, a bucketful of freezing cold water poured on top of her. She suddenly forgot everything, all she felt, was her warm heart. Her whole body was drenched and ice cold, but her heart, it felt warm, and it was beating. She felt it. Her heart wasn't cold anymore.

She felt alive with emotion now.

Snapping out of her thoughts,and in the verge of tears, she opened the door which the girls had unlocked for her after the bucketful of water. She slowly walked out, dripping wet. Then, she saw someone standing in front of her, It was Soohyun.

He dropped a towel on her head. Suzy's heart beat like crazy, and she felt warm again. At that time, she knew.. just who was that person that melted her heart.

She choked out a sob and started crying. She didn't care, all she wanted was to have someone with her.

"I really don’t want to give or receive any more scars now.
That’s what I believed but why does it seem like that won’t happen between you and me?

That’s what I believed but at some point, I am in your embrace"

Suzy kept crying, and crying, tears rolling endlessly down her cheeks. Soohyun wiped her tears away. Suzy managed to choke out in between the tears.

"D-Don't.. your hands will get dirty." Soohyun pulled Suzy in for a tight hug and softly said in her ear.

"Suzy, will you go out with me?" Suzy stopped crying.

"Without me knowing, at some point, I lean on you.
I think the heavens might have given me one more chance"

She softly nodded.

"My heart that became as cold as ice

On my scar, and new skin is growing over it"
