the first (and last time) i tried a book club, no one Actually read the book except for me.

3 years and a foolish amount of solo reading later, i thought it'd be fun to try again. 

i love reading and i love discussing books with friends even more (lately i'm in villainess purgatory). so here's me checking if there's any real and palpable interest in a book club

here are a few of my ideas so far:

• all ages welcome, though openly stated
• discord based. might consider a twitter base open to freelancers
• 1 book every 2 weeks OR 1 a month
• new monthly theme/genre based on popular member vote 
• books to be suggested by members, collated, then chosen through a poll
• (on dc) a spoiler open channel locked for people who want to discuss the book while they read but don't mind possible spoilers
• we form actual friendships by geeking over fictional characters and crying over written words that would never actually come out of a real person's mouth ("I would kill the world for you." ??? can we own a house first)

i want this whole thing to be pretty chill but i'd also want it to excite y'all. i won't be able to actually kickstart this whole thing until november so this is very early development stages.
