Chan overworks himself and passes out, Hyunjin also injures his knee.

Foreword

Stray Kids have been preparing multiple hours a day for their upcoming comeback; domino

They’ve been practicing for up 16 hours a day with barely enough time to eat, sleep, or just take care of themselves in general.

Unfortunately, it’s been taking a toll on Chan the most, since he’s always in his studio producing music.

The members worry about their leader, since he doesn’t come home until about four in the morning when they have to wake up at five. Which gives him only one hour of sleep each night, leaving him exhausted throughout the day.

Of course, when you’re an idol you know that you aren’t going to be getting much sleep but still, one hour is not healthy for anyone.

“Oh shoot, I slept in, everyone wake up we’re going to be late!” Chan yelled

It was usually Chan’s and Minho’s task to wake the members up, but as today is a Thursday, it’s Chan’s turn.

He and the other members were running for dance practice which started at 5:30, and it was currently 5:25. They always took their time walking to dance practice since it was only ten minutes away from their dorm, but today might be the first time that they’re late to a practice since debut. They only had five minutes to get dressed, washed up, eat, and make it to practice on time.

Chan leapt out of bed to make sure all of the members were up. Lee Know was already awake prior to Chan’s screaming, but he lost track of time, marking the choreography in his head, at least he was prepared for practice. Minho assisted Chan in waking up the others since he was the second oldest in the group.

“Yongbok, Hyunjin wake up we slept in, we’re late, hurry!” Lino woke up the rest of

The dancers in the group.

It took about one minute for the rest of the members to register what was going on. But as soon as that one minute was over, they were all rushing. Brushing their teeth in the one bathroom, grabbing protein bars, getting dressed in some sweatpants and hoodies, and rushing out the door. Practice was scheduled to start now, they realized just how much they screwed up. They got in the elevator, outside, and now they had to run. They all sprinted down sidewalk and made it to their company building in six minutes. They got in the elevator to go up to the eighth floor, thankfully giving them time to catch their breaths.

The choreographer didn’t look very happy as they were greeted by crosses arms. They got a brief lecture on how they should learn to act like idols and Chan handled the situation well.

They did their daily routine of stretching, and marking the choreo before they put in the energy.

6:00; practice started

6:30; 4 run throughs, going good

8:00; break time, finally

“Take 10” the choreographer said when saw the sweat puddle on the floor by Hyunjin.

Some dropped to the floor while some went to their bags to get their water.

“Hyunjin, are you ok? You don’t usually sweat this much unless we’re doing a concert.” Chan

“Yeah, it’s just that this choreography is really demanding and I’ve been putting my all into it” Hyunjin explained

“Want me to pass your your waters?” He asked danceracha, sitting on the floor, trying to catch their breaths.

“Please, thanks Chan” Yongbok, voice trailing off as he was breathing heavily.

Danceracha received their waters and chugged it. Probably shouldn’t have done that, now they have no more water left and they still have four hours until lunch time.

“Ten minutes are done; get up guys, just power through until lunch.” Chan, trying to motivate s.

Changbin, helped up Hyunjin and Lino whereas Yongbok had enough power to get up himself.

They met at the center of the room, in their positions, waiting for the music to start.

As they were waiting, Chan remembered that he and Hyunjin didn’t eat yet today. Well, they’ll just wait until lunch.

The music started, they’re in sync, everything is going smoothly…. until the chorus. Chan got hit with sudden dizziness, not really paying attention to his surroundings. He was about to say something when Han yelled “HYUNJIN”

Hyunjin had collapsed, no one had time to react to catch him when Hyunjin dropped down to the floor. Thankfully he wasn’t unconscious, only his legs giving out.

Chan forgot about his dizziness in a second and ran over the Hyunjin, checking for any injuries. He took his pulse, normal. What did he eat today? That’s it, he didn’t eat anything, neither did Chan.

“Hyunjin, are you with us?”

No response

“Hyunjin, HYUNJIN?! Please baby answer me!” Chan was desperate

“My knee, it…. h-hurts” Hyunjin whined.

Chan rolled up Hyunjin sweatpants and to his horror he already saw a massive bruise from the impact.

Yongbok, worried, placed a kiss to Hyunjin’s head to try and calm him down.

Hyunjin squeezed his eyes shut, clearly in pain and winced.

“What is it, Hyunjinnie?” Yongbok this time.

“I h-have a-a heada-ache” Hyunjin sounded like he was about to cry.

Before Chan could say anything, Lino ran over to turn off the music and dim the lights, also getting a towel to put under Hyunjin’s head so he could lay down.

“Hyunjin, are you hungry? You didn’t get a chance to eat anything today.” Can asked Hyunjin

“Yeah but I-I can hold-hold o-out until lunch time.” Can wasn’t going to let him wait that long.

Chan got up and went over to Hyunjin’s bag to get the protein bar, it’s not much but it will at least give him some energy.

“Eat this, it will help”

“It’s fine, I can wait”

“Just one bite?”

“I’m fine”

“If you don’t take a bite I’m sending you back to the dorm” Chan didn’t want to resort to that sentence, but he had to. Thankfully it worked, Hyunjin took the bar from Chan’s hand and took a bite.

“Can I dance now, please hyung?”

“Fine, but don’t put all of your energy into it, ok?”

A nod from the younger boy.

Yongbok and Chan helped Hyunjin stand up.

“Guys, let’s just mark the choreo until lunch, then we can put in some power, ok” Chan told the group

The choreographer didn’t like the sound of that, but the other members did so he let it slide.

12:00pm; lunch time

The members all dropped down on the floor, exhausted, breathless, hungry.

They headed down to the cafeteria to get some food. Because of Hyunjin, their lunch break got extended to 45 minutes thankfully, they really needed it.

Hyunjin and Yongbok split gimbap, a bowl of rice, and bibimbap. Lino, Chan, Changbin, and Seungmin all got a large order of sushi, ramen, and beef. While Han and Seungmin got some eggs, and teokbokki. They took their time eating their meals.

“How are you feeling now?” Yongbok asked Hyunjin.

“Better, more energized and my head doesn’t hurt as bad.”

“As bad, it still hurts?” A pout from Yongbok.

“Yongbok, it only hurts a little. Trust me, by the time we get back to practicing, I’ll be my usual self again. Promise” Hyunjin held out his pinky to Felix. Hyunjin sealed the promise with Yongbok and they smiled at each other.

Hyunjin kept the promise.

The practice resumed but they took it light for a while, they all ate too much.

Nine cruel hours of dance passed by, but to Chan it felt like two days.

The members, drenched in sweat packed up. Chan didn’t move, debating on whether or not he should stay behind and practice a little more as he still has trouble remembering the steps, or to go home with the other members.

“Chan hyung, aren’t you coming?” The maknae asked.

Chan responded, without thinking “Uh, I think I’m going to stay behind and work on the choreo a little more.” Why did he choose that option

“Chan Hyung please, I really want to play video games with you.” The maknae replied to his hyung, with sad eyes.

Thank god he got out of staying behind, “Ok Jeongin, I’m sorry, let’s go back to the dorm.”

When they arrived, Hyunjin was the first to shower so he could eat dinner and go to bed.

Chan decided to be the last one to shower so he could prepare dinner for everyone and play with Jeongin, who’s taking a shower right before Chan.

“Hyung, are you going to play with me?” Jeongin asked Chan, sounding upset.

“Yes Jeongin, just making some ramen for all of us, give me 5 minutes, ok baby” Chan told Jeongin, he threw in four packs of ramen, put the lid on, and made his way over to Jeongin.

He grabbed the controllers and sat next to the maknae on the couch.

“Which game?”

“Wii sports”

“Sure, baseball?”

“Yeah”

“Ok”

They pulled it up and they started playing, I.n was hitting first, Chan pitching. They were having a good time. Then it was Chan’s turn to hit. Chan was ready to score a run but his vision blurred and his ears rung. I.n noticed this as Chan was spacing out and paused the game.

“Hyung, are you ok?”

Chan took a while to bring himself to answer, but was he did he reassured the maknae that he was fine. I.n didn’t look too convinced.

“Oh, Seungmin’s out of the shower, go Innie.”

Jeongin complied and started walking to the bathroom for his shower, while Chan put the ramen into everyone’s bowls. Chan took his shower, and went to his room to change into a different hoodie. The dizziness hit him again but this time was worse. He felt like he was going to pass out. Now, he was nauseous, and seeing black spots too, so he sat on his bed so it could pass.

“Channie hyung, aren’t you having dinner with us?” Why now, Chan thought.

“Yeah, let me just change into a hoodie.” He responded to Han.

“Ok” Han.

“I think I’m good now, I’ll get up now” Wrong. Because as soon as he stood up, he vision blurred and he himself hit the floor, vision going black, he was now unconscious.

“I’m gonna go check on Chan hyung, it’s almost been a minute now.”

“Ok Han” Lino said to the younger boy.

Han got up from his seat and walked over to their room; 3RACHA room. He knocked on the door, nothing. Then, Han thought maybe he had fallen asleep. But just to make sure, he opened the door. But Han found an unconscious Chan on the floor, by his bed.

Han couldn’t move, tears running down his face.

“Ch-Chan? Hyung? CHAN HYUNG?! WHATS WRONG, PLEASE WAKE UP!” Han was falling into a panic attack.

The rest of the members at the dinner table looked at each other, running to 3RACHA room.

They found Chan, on the floor with Han by his side, trying to wake the leader up.

“Chan hyung, wake up.” Lino now trying

“Changbin, get Han out of here along with Yongbok, Seungmin, and Jeongin. Also, get a wet towel, and start a timer. Also Yongbok and Seungmin, wrap up Hyunjin’s knee, remember, he injured it.” Lino, taking initiative.

“Ok” Changbin, Yongbok, and Seungmin doing what Lino said to do.

Jeongin and Han followed Yongbok and Seungmin to danceRACHA room because they didn’t want to be alone.

“I should’ve known something was wrong with Chan hyung. When we were playing video games, Chan kept spacing out and getting pale.” Jeongin thought it was his fault.

“Jeongin baby, it’s not your fault. I think Chan just overworked himself like he always does. Besides, you couldn’t have prevented it anyway. Don’t blame yourself, ok?” Seungmin famed Jeongin.

Han had calmed down from his panic attack with Seungmin’s words, now finally focusing on what’s really going on.

“He’s been out for three minutes, should we call an ambulance?”

“Changbin, that’s not that long, it’s ok.” L in I responded to Changbin, looking at him instead of Chan.

As soon as he finished saying that, Chan groaned.

“I think he’s waking up, Lino.”

Changbin was right. Chan slowly started to open his eyes.

Chan was confused as to why he felt something cool and wet on his head, why was he looking at the ceiling, wait, was he on the floor. Wait do I hear Lino and Changbin?

“Chan, are you awake now?”

“Yeah, what happened?”

You passed out, you were for about three minutes. Han was the one who found you.”

Chan felt bad for Han. A minute later, Chan was ready to stand up, when he did he couldn’t walk that well yet, but he wasn’t dizzy.

Lino and Changbin helped Chan into the kitchen assuming the maknae line would still be there, scared. Of course they were scared, but they were in a different room.

Once Yongbok finished wrapping up Hyunjin’s knee (Hyunjin’s asleep by the way) they made there were into the living room. Surprised to see Chan there, sitting on the couch with Lino and Changbin.

They ran over to Chan, Jeongin gave Chan a hug and started to cry.

“Jeongin baby, I know you were scared and I’m sorry, I’ll take it easy until the comeback, ok?”

“Chan hyung, please don’t stay in your studio, or workout super early or late, and most importantly, please get more sleep.”

“Ok, I will baby, how’s Hyunjin?” He asked Yongbok?

“He’s fine, his knee is a little warm to the touch, so maybe he should take the next week off to let it heal. You too, hyung.”

“I don’t need a week off, or any break at all. I’m fine.”

“Chan hyung” Lino said, helping Yongbok. Chan knew he couldn’t win against Lino

“Fine, but only one week, no more.”

“Chan hyung, do you want some dinner?”

“Yeah, let’s go.”

Then they all enjoyed their ramen, trying to forget about the events that occurred that day.
