8 years.

8 whole ing years since Karina has seen Minjeong last.

And she swore to all the existing saints that if ever they meet again, She will punch Minjeong right in the face. So that’s what Karina did exactly the moment Minjeong walked inside the private theater.

“Holy ” A guy came rushing towards them, nasakto pa kasi na pagpasok ni Minjeong ay saktong papalabas si Karina para pumunta ng CR saglit.

Karina felt her blood boil when she realized that it was Minjeong Kim.

The one who broke her heart.

“Ah…" she looked at Jaemin apologetically "Akala ko kasi may nakapasok na kung ano sa loob” Nagtatakang tumingin si Jaemin sa kanya,

Jaemin is the lead actor for Karina's new movie, and he's close friends with Minjeong, something Karina isn't aware of.

“Let her be, Sorry Minjeong, Mabilis lang talaga magulat 'tong si Direk” Tinanguan ni Minjeong si Giselle na nagsalita para kay Karina, Sumunod ito noong mapansin na wala si Jaemin sa tabi niya.

Karina excused herself para magpunta sa comfort room without even looking at Minjeong, Jaemin was left alone so he looked at the two girls with confusion in his eyes.

“You know Minjeong?” He asked Giselle

“We went to the same school” Jaemin nodded his head

"Well that's cool, so kilala din ni Rina si Minjeong?" Jaemin asked Giselle again, The latter was caught off guard and she didn't know what to answer.

"She wouldn't punch me if kilala niya ako diba?" Before Giselle could utter a word ay inunahan na siya ni Minjeong.

"Why did she punch you then? eh hindi naman nananapak si Rina randomly lalo na kapag hindi niya kilala, baka kasi you were enemies before kaya bigla ka niyang sinapak, 'wag ka mahiyang sabihin Minjeong, I won't judge you" Jaemin replied.

Minjeong stayed quiet, hindi na siya sumagot kasi hindi din niya alam paano at kung ano ang isasagot. She haven't had a conversation about Karina for a long time.

Lucky for her ay hindi na nagtanong ulit si Jaemin at niyaya nalang siya na pumunta na sa respective seats nila dahil malapit na mag start ang movie premiere.

Karina took much longer spending time inside the comfort room, gulat pa rin siya sa nangyari. 

Why did Minjeong show up after ghosting me for the last 8 years?

Does she want me back?

Sinampal ni Karina ang sarili, mukhang nakalimutan niya for a short amount of time na Minjeong ruined her life, Minjeong left her, so she doesn't deserve to want Karina back.

But, what if?

Pero matagal nadin naman since they last saw each other so baka naman naka move-on na. Pero hindi din naman malabo. After all, Minjeong was crazy about her.

Kim Minjeong, The point guard of the women's basketball team of the yellow school, Nakilala niya ito thru Giselle, Her high school bestfriend who goes to the same school as Minjeong, Mas madalas pa nga siyang binibisita nito kesa kay Giselle. 

Minjeong drives from España to Katipunan, kahit madalas ay traffic pa, pero only one thing matters to Minjeong noon.

“As long as I can spend time with you and be able to see that pretty smile of yours, I don’t mind getting stuck on the road for a few hours”

Unknowingly Karina is smiling to herself with the thought of the positive side of her past with Minjeong. 

Agad din naman niyang binawi ito when she realized how foolish it is.

At may tumawa sa likod niya. “Why are you smiling sa mirror direk? Kinikilig ka ba? May crush ka 'no” natatawang komento ng casting director niya

“Shut up Lia” She rolled her eyes which resulted in another laugh from Lia.

Before the movie started, They introduced it to the viewers first. 

The movie is entitled “After Tomorrow”

Jaemin is playing Clark, a passionate songwriter but still doesn’t get the spotlight he deserves, And Giselle plays Jillian, a singer who had just given up on her dream. On the night of a music festival they crossed paths and Jillian also turns out to be Clarke’s high school crush.

Karina is sitting beside the two main leads in the front while Minjeong sits at the back. She doesn’t want to be anywhere near the CEOs, Celebrities and other Close people of the Crew, She doesn’t want to sit beside Jaemin din naman as she knows Karina would be uncomfortable.

Minjeong hates to be around a crowd of people she barely knows, it makes her uncomfortable, she has no friends who can keep her company, but she’d rather experience that than make Karina uncomfortable. 

She put her through enough.

“I Didn’t know I’ll see you here” Halos tumalon si Minjeong sa gulat nang biglang may bumulong sa kanya

“When did you start getting easily startled” Bulong ulit nito nung makaupo na ulit si Minjeong sa upuan

“Gago Ate Lisa sino bang hindi magugulat pag may biglang bumulong sa tenga nila, I didn’t even know you were there” Natawa si Lisa, Karina’s Half Sister.

She was close with Lisa because she also played college basketball pero sa Ateneo, Lisa was two years ahead of her. 

Madalas din sila na nagkikita sa unit nila Lisa at Karina back when they were still in college kapag pinapatulog na ni Karina si Minjeong doon dahil ginagabi siya kasama nito.

“I saw what Karina did there, masakit ba?” Minjeong touched the side of her lips na dumugo kanina, it still stings. She nodded.

“Hahahaha deserve” Natawa nalang din si Minjeong, She knows deep inside that she deserves that punch.

Throughout the movie, Lisa sits beside her, and she didn’t feel alone.

She feels a lot more comfortable.

"Hindi ka ba galit sa'kin, Ate Lisa?" Lisa's eyes diverted to Minjeong

"I was mad at you, sobra" 

"I understand"

"Kasi si Karina 'yon eh, I grew up with her and I knew how cheerful she is. Before she introduced you to me palagi ka na niyang bukambibig, She's always Minjeong this and Minjeong that, And everytime she talks about you she has this huge smile on her face and I loved seeing that"

"But when you suddenly left her without even saying anything, I saw how her world fell apart, Halos mabaliw siya Minjeong, And I was mad because you promised me na hindi mo siya sasaktan"

"I made a promise to myself na kakalbuhin kita kapag nagkita tayo ulit, but she got mad at me, ang sabi niya if I ever lay a finger on you she'll never talk to me again"

"And she said to never be mad at you, she never said the reason why"

"But Ate Irene, well let's just say na she doesn't care if Rina would never talk her again dahil 'pag nakita ka niya hindi ka lang daw niya kakalbuhin, babalian ka pa niya"
