Two young ladies found themselves wrapped in the soft embrace of their cozy bed, and under the inviting sheets, their bare skin met. Sana lay on her stomach, while Dahyun couldn't help but gaze at her captivating face with desire.

"Hey."

Sana responded with a seductive hum, meeting Dahyun's eyes with a shared passion. The latter girl's hand gently brushed against Sana's , sending delightful shivers down her spine. "Guess the letter I'm going to write on your back," Dahyun whispered, her finger tracing a tantalizing path on her bare skin.

The other played along, feeling the soft touch, "That wasn't a letter," she teases, her smile mischievous. "You drew a heart."

Dahyun's grin widened, enjoying the intimate moment they were sharing. "It is a letter," she insisted.

"It's not."

With a sultry laugh, Dahyun finally relents, "Fine, you got me."

As the laughter subsided, Sana couldn't resist the urge to draw Dahyun closer. She adjusted her position, gently cupping the other girl's face in her hands, admiring her beauty with affectionate eyes. She leaned in to plant passionate, fleeting kisses on Dahyun's lips, teasingly pulling away each time, drawing her in only to leave her wanting more. Dahyun rolled her eyes playfully, knowing Sana was just fooling around with her.

After the lighthearted moment, the girl's expression turned a bit serious. "I don't think I ever thanked you," she began.

Dahyun raised her eyebrows, curious about the direction of the conversation. "For what?" she inquired. "For... for being such a good distraction?" she quipped, eliciting a light tap on her face from Sana's hand.

"Honestly, I don't have anything specific to say. I just want to say thank you."

The girl playfully pulled Sana closer into a cuddle, teasingly replying, "As you should be." She couldn't help but inquire, "What happened today, though?" Knowing that their late-night encounters often occurred when Sana needed a break from something heavy on her mind.

In Sana's life, she understood that she played the role of a comforting distraction, and she embraced that role wholeheartedly. She didn't mind being the person Sana sought solace with during challenging times. In fact, she felt a sense of joy in being that person for Sana, knowing she could bring temporary peace to her life.

Sana let out a sigh, her frustration evident in her voice. "Same old stuff," she replied, "my parents are at it again, fighting and breaking things around the house. It's like I don't even exist to them." Her anger and weariness were palpable as she recounted the endless cycle of their arguments.

She couldn't help but share a dark joke, wanting to release some of her pain. "Sometimes, I feel like handing them knives and telling them to just go ahead and kill each other since they already hate each other so much," she said, forcing a chuckle to hide her true feelings.

Dahyun tried to soothe her by playing with Sana's hair gently, offering comfort in her touch. "You can't say that," she gently reminded her.

"I know," Sana admitted, "when they say hurtful things, it's somehow considered reasonable, but if I say anything, it's disrespectful. I can't question it."

"That has to . I'm sorry you're going through this at home."

"It doesn't even feel like home anymore," Sana confessed, her voice barely above a whisper. "Home should bring comfort, but I haven't felt that in years."

"I'm sorry."

"Don't be," Sana replied, looking up at Dahyun with grateful eyes. "I found comfort in you."

Dahyun teased playfully, "And fun, and thrill – all the good stuff."

Sana nodded, smiling, "Your service is pretty effective."

"So, I'm your entertainer now?"

"Didn't say exactly that, but... you do make things better."

"Then I'm happy to be at your service, ma'am."

Sana felt an unexplainable attachment to Dahyun, a feeling she couldn't fully comprehend or admit to herself. This girl seemed to carry her burdens, making everything seem easier. And although she wanted to deny her deeper feelings to avoid complications, Dahyun's comforting presence was something she couldn't resist. She just didn't want more complications, living in a life already full of such.

"So..." Dahyun hesitated, trying to broach the sensitive topic carefully. "Does your dad still go around with that... uh, salesclerk?" She knew it was a sensitive topic, but there was no better way to ask. Sana's father had been involved with someone else, a young salesclerk, to fulfill his desires outside his marriage. Sana was the first to find out, and it shattered her perception of her father. She felt nothing but disgust for him now.

"Yeah," Sana replied bitterly, "that damn salesclerk, who's the same age as me. Still can't believe it," she expressed her disbelief. "Did he never think that girl could be my friend? It's insane."

"I know," Dahyun whispered, nodding in agreement. "Some people are just trash like that," she remarked.

"And that girl, too. She's young, and she probably doesn't know what she's doing, but she's just going along with it. For what? Money? Stupid."

Dahyun smiled gently, tracing her fingers on Sana's back to soothe her. "Hey, relax," she said, shifting the mood. "Aren't we young too?" she asked playfully. "Do we know what we're doing? Lying here... on my dead mom's bed, doing God knows what," she said, trying to lighten the atmosphere.

"I'm twenty-three," Sana stated.

"So is she," Dahyun pointed out, "but yeah, that's not too old of an age. Still young, but not too young either. I bet she knows what she's doing."

"If she knows, she's out of her mind," Sana chuckled. "You've got a point, though. Maybe we don't know what we're doing either, but at least we're not being homewreckers, right?"

"That's one thing," Dahyun agreed. "We're not hurting anybody."

"Not even ourselves," Sana added. "But hey, don't call my age young when you're literally two years younger than me."

"I didn't forget that."

"Yeah, right. And you fool around more than I do."

"I only fool around with you."

Sana squinted her eyes playfully. "You sure about that?"

"I can die right now if I'm lying."

The other girl laughed and shook her head, saying, "It doesn't really matter. You own yourself, and you do whatever you want with it. Just don't be stupid. You're the only one who makes sense to me now, so don't disappoint me," she muttered.

"I'm never doing that," Dahyun replied with a gentle smile. "Hmm, hey, I'm going on an egg harvesting tomorrow at the farm. If you've got nothing on your plate, you can come."

Sana arrived home late at night, and to her surprise, her father was waiting on the porch with a beer in hand. She knew it meant trouble. As she approached, he questioned her angrily, "Where have you been? Do you know how late it is? Can't you read time on your wristwatch?"

She considered ignoring him and walked past, heading for the front door. But he continued, "I'm talking to you! Where were you? Do you think you can just go out without telling us? Do we look like mind-readers?"

"What?" Sana retorted, forced to face her father. "You want me to tell you? When? You and Mom are always at each other's throats! You didn't even notice when I left this morning because you were too busy with your own problems! You want me to be a good daughter, but don't you think you should try to be good parents too?"

The man fell silent, realizing his shortcomings as a father. He wanted to apologize and make things right, but part of him didn't care anymore. He felt the damage was done, and even if he changed, the pain would always linger.

"Answer my question," he insisted, trying to maintain his pride despite her emotional outburst. "Where have you been? Have you been ing around with someone?"

Sana chuckled bitterly, "Yeah, what if I was? Will I be any different from my own daddy then?"

"Don't you dare—"

Without waiting for him to finish, Sana stormed inside, slamming the door behind her. She didn't want to listen anymore. She wasn't afraid and wouldn't let herself be controlled by the people who had caused her pain. These were the consequences of their actions, and they were the ones who brought it upon themselves.

The next morning, Dahyun was at the chicken farm, talking to the chickens as she harvested eggs. She rambled, apologizing to the chickens for taking their unborn babies. "I'm just making a living, like anybody else," she explained, feeling a bit guilty. She looked into the chicken's eyes as if having a conversation, "yeah, I don't really need to do this, and I don't want to either. So, what point am I trying to make?" Of course, the chicken had no answer. "Exactly, no point at all. I can leave whenever I want," she concluded.

As she heard the hay crackle, signaling someone's arrival, Dahyun turned to see Sana walking towards her. Sana's face showed no emotion, making it even harder for Dahyun to read her. "I thought you wouldn't come anymore," Dahyun said, straightening up to greet her. Trying to break the silence, she continued, "I'm halfway done stealing eggs from these mothers. Does that make me a kid…chick…napper?"

"You're being silly," Sana shook her head, finally face to face with Dahyun. "Good morning," she said, giving Dahyun a side hug.

"Good morning, Ms. Minatozaki," Dahyun smirked.

"Don't call me tha
