Winter POV

"You can do this Winter" I mumbled as I took a deep breath before knocking on her door 

I hear footsteps on the other side and not a minute later, Karina opened the door. 

We were just staring at each other and I never felt so awkward to my bestfriend turned girlfriend. 

All the practice speeches that I have done with Minju was useless because I cant even remember any of it as of now. My whole entire being wants to reach out for her, I want to touch her, hug her or anything but my mind is screaming no. Its like I have been programmed or like its already engrave in my mind and body that I cannot initiate skinship with her unless she does it first. 

I learned that the hardway, I tried reaching out for her hand one time as we walk home and she immediately avoided it, saying someone from our school might see it. 

It hurted me not gonna lie but I just let it go, I thinks its also my fault since I had agreed being lowkey with her.

I didnt really want it to call it a secret relationship because we were both legal to our parents. We aren't just open out in the school.

"W-win are you not coming in?" Her voice brought me back to reality 

I smiled a little at her before going inside her apartment. 

"Is auntie not home?" I asked 

"She's meeting up with one of her friends in the mall" 

I nodded as I sat at their sofa. I roamed my eyes at our surrounding. 

And no, no its not my first time coming in here. This house is basically like my second home, besides my home and school this is the place that I probably spent most of my time. 

Its just that everything is awkward with a lot of tension in the air. I can feel her staring at me, probably waiting for me to speak up. 

It has always been like that with us. 

Whenever we have misunderstandings there would silence first and her waiting for me to talk.
