Chapter Four: Love is the Strongest Power of All

 

 

 

 

 

“Never say I won’t fall in-love because you’re just lying to your self. You can’t control yourself when it comes in falling in-love. The time still just haven’t come for you to fall in-love”

 

 

 

 

 

 

“I won’t let you suffer anymore. Stay strong, I will be back with the antidote.” Jiyong went inside Dara’s hospital room when Donghae was outside. Jiyong kissed Dara on the forehead and went outside the window where he came in too.

 

“Huh? A dream?” Dara asked herself when she woke up, she saw Donghae on the couch asleep,

 

“Uhm..Donghae? Donghae?” Dara whispered looking at Donghae,

 

“Oh! Dara ah! Good morning!” Donghae stood up and approached Dara,

 

“What time is it?” Dara asked

 

“7:27 in the morning. Dara, are you hungry?” Donghae asked

 

“No, thank you anyway. Aren’t you going to class today?” Dara asked,

 

“Nope, Teddy-nim said I should take care of you or else my grades will be in danger.” Donghae giggled,

 

“Oh, I see. Donghae can you do me a favor?” Dara smiled sweetly,

 

“What is it Dara-ah?”

 

“Could you please call Halmoni. Err… I mean the dorm lady and bring my plant here?”

 

“Okay Dara! I’ll be back! Take a long rest there okay.” Donghae rushed outside and went to see the dorm lady.

 

‘What a strange dream. Jiyong went here and said something…but I didn’t clearly hear what he said.’Dara whispered to her self and took a rest.

 

At the wilderness forest…

 

“Puff* Pant* Minzy, can we take a break?” Teddy exclaimed,

 

“No, we only have 38 hours.” Minzy looked at Teddy with evil eyes,

 

“Minzy, please don’t do the evil eye thing…I miss…I miss Dara-ah.” Teddy looked sad,

 

“You’re not the only one who misses her and worries about her…” Minzy turned her back to Teddy,

“We are all worried about her. Were not in the half part of the wilderness forest, and if we stop even a second is important.” Minzy smiled.

 

They keep searching for the antidote when Seungri talked to a squirrel, “The squirrel said they found the antidote!” Seungri exclaimed,

 

“Good” Minzy smiled,

 

“Where is it?” Teddy asked

 

“Hmm… they said the one who curses is the one who heals.” Seungri looked at Minzy

 

“That means, the wilderness king who cursed Dara… he also have the antidote.” Minzy said and ran towards the center of the wilderness,

 

“Minzy wait! You might get lost!” Bom screamed. Suddenly, after a while running Minzy stopped,

 

“Minzy!” Dongwook and Teddy ran towards her.

 

“Its here!” Minho exclaimed,

 

“But Minzy-ah, how did you know?” Eun Hye looked curious

 

“I used the mini-Dara, and also the dead plant that Dara owns.” Minzy stared at the old tree,

 

“Dead plant?” Chaerin asked,

 

“This trees here… they are all connected to the plant that Dara owns now. They are all connected to Dara now because Dara is connected to the heart of all trees… that small plant.” Minzy looked at the mini-Dara robot,

 

“Minzy, you’re right. The small plant is the heart of the trees, the heart of all the forest, and the heart that is connected with Dara.” Minho smiled,

 

“Minho-nim” Hye Sun looked at Minho with sparkling eyes,

 

“Dara is really a good girl, sweet and caring. It is a big loss if she dies” Teddy said

 

“Teddy-nim! Don’t say such thing as those!” Dongwook said and ran towards the center of the wilderness,

 

“That’s him.” Minho pointed to an old tree.

 

The class D students murmured as they saw the old tree.

 

“Hey! Old stinky tree, give me the antidote.” Minzy pointed her bazooka to the tree,

 

“Uhm…Minzy, Calm down” Minho said arrogantly

 

“Ahhh..” a gust of wind suddenly appeared and the scent of the atmosphere smells like mud,

“Ewes! What’s that smell?” Chawrin tried to change the atmosphere but the force was so strong that Chaerin’s P.S. can’t fight against it. Everyone covered their noses, a blow of wind whirled the scent away.

 

“Jiyong!” Chaerin exclaimed as she saw Jiyong up a tree,

 

“Where’s the antidote?!” Jiyong looked at the old tree,

 

“Antidote??” The tree said and a smoke appeared,

 

“No! Try to dodge the smoke! It’s poison!” Minho exclaimed.

 

Jiyong used his P.S. and blew the smokes away.

 

“Why don’t you just let that girl die? Besides she’s USELESS. Her P.S. is so useless and stupid.” The old tree gave a hearty laugh.

 

“No!” Jiyong shouted and a very strong wind appeared, it seems like there would be a great tornado that will appear and crush the whole world

 

“Jiyong! Control you’re P.S. everybody might get hurt!” Teddy shouted as everyone hold on to each other, the wind suddenly stopped

 

“So, you are really determined to get the antidote.” The tree said. Whenever the tree speaks the atmosphere smells like mud and the mist of the air changes

 

“Please, give us the antidote!” Bom cried

 

“What If I don’t want?” the tree laughed

 

“Well, let’s do it in a fast way.” Minzy lifted her bazooka and pointed it to the tree

 

“You think that will kill me?” the tree annoys Minzy now

 

“Please we beg you. If Dara dies, there won’t be anymore sun in our classroom; the laughter will be filled with sorrow. And…Dara holds the heart of the forest.” Bom cried

 

“Bom.” Eun Hye hugged Bom, Bom was like a baby that always cry but also smiles very cutely. Suddenly the snow flakes are falling…

 

“Huh? I remember, it’ll be Christmas tomorrow.” Hye Sun’s voice was sad

 

“If Dara dies on Christmas Eve… We won’t forgive you!” Dongwook shouted and evil spirits started to appear and the sky- even the snows are turning into color black

 

“Dongwook! Stop!” Teddy pushed Dongwook and they fell to the ground

 

“Get a hold to yourself!” Teddy punched Dongwook in the face, “But…HYUNG!!! Dara’s life is in danger!” Dongwook screamed

 

“I know…” Teddy calmed down and smiled, “But we don’t need this to come into violence, which that tree holds the antidote. If he dies it’s also useless.” Teddy added.

 

“So, that girl is really important to you…Well I hate her P.S. and it’ll be Christmas tomorrow so I hate her! She makes everything colorful! She makes everyone smile! I hate that kind of P.S.!” the tree screamed and the forest was filled with smoke. Suddenly the tree looked shocked the smoke cleared and the tree looked stunned

 

“Mister Tree…” a familiar voice suddenly appeared

 

“If you hate me, please tell me… don’t make everyone suffer because of me. I don’t want them to worry.”

 

“Dara!” everyone seemed shocked when they saw Dara.

 

Dara was hugging the tree; even though she looks ghastly and pale she reached the wilderness’ kings territory. Dara looked very injured and so much in pain

 

“Tomorrow, it’ll be Christmas day. Tonight is Christmas eve- Mister tree…” Dara kept hugging the tree even though the tree kept pushing her.

 

“DON’T HUG ME!” the tree gave a loud roar.

 

“Mister Tree…Please…Please celebrate Christmas with us…” the tree calmed down and stared at the sky where snows are falling.

 

Dara fainted; the poison reached Dara’s left leg.

 

“Christmas? With everyone?” the tree whispered.

 

“Dara!” Dongwook and Jiyong ran towards Dara. But before they could grab Dara, the tree lifted Dara using his old branch.

 

“Put her down!” Dongwook shouted.

 

One of the branch of the tree touched Dara’s legs.

 

“HEY!” but Jiyong held Dongwook’s arm.

 

“Look. Watch closely.” Jiyong said.

 

“The tree… he’s healing Dara.” Minzy said.

 

“This girl…She was the one chosen by my son. The heart of the forest. My son was stolen by someone with the curse P.S. My son also loved that woman but the woman left him in the University. My son was so much in pain and cannot move on, but my son loved this girl, they were bond by the love of the forest and the faith and strength to each other.” The tree smiled and the whole forest bloomed, even the old tree blooms its flowers and its leaves grew,

 

“This girl… is a very special girl. Always protect her and take care of her.”

 

The tree reached out Dara to Jiyong, “Young boy…When I saw you, I saw in you’re eyes that this girl…has a special place in your heart.” The tree smiled at Jiyong

 

“Tsk.” Jiyong murmured.

 

“Take care of her.” The tree giggled.

 

Everyone ran towards Dara.

 

“Look the black spots and bruises are gone.” Eun Hye and the others rejoiced.

 

“My son… please takes care of him as you take care of this girl. I know they are now connected, not only by friendship but also in their heart, soul, and strength.” The tree said and a very strong wind blew,

 

“Everyone hold on!” Teddy hugged Dara tightly as the others hold on to each other.

 

“Uhm…Everyone?” Teddy touched his forehead

 

“Ouch! My head aches. Huh? Were back in front of the hospital!” Teddy looked at the hospital door. Everyone was on the ground unconscious; Teddy tried to wake everyone up.

 

“Let’s bring Dara inside now, quickly! It’s getting cold. She still needs to recover” Minzy say after feeling that Teddy woke her up. She rushed towards the door and called a nurse. While Dongwook carried Dara and the others followed inside.

 

“She’s okay, she just need a lot of rest. By the way, don’t worry too much… and Merry Christmas.” The doctor smiled and closed the door.

 

“It’s Christmas eve!” Hye Sun screamed.

 

“Hurry! Everyone get dressed! Go straight to the hall.” Teddy smiled,

 

“But what about Dara?” Bom asked

 

“She’ll be alright.” Minzy smiled.

 

Everyone was busy getting dressed for the Christmas eve. Minzy, Bom, Hye Sun, Chaerin and the others went to the hall.

 

“The hall looks dead when Dara is not here.” Bom looked around the hall.

 

“Everyone! Sorry for the delay! Were trying to make the hall more presentable, some problems occurred while doing the finishing touches. Please wait for a moment.” The announcer said. While everyone is busy trying to make the hall presentable, a beam of light appeared and the atmosphere was full of happiness and love, the Christmas tree is glowing, the cake was sparkling and magical dust was in the air.

 

“DARA!” Bom cried

 

“Huh? DARA!” Dongwook and the others looked at the hall door, they saw Dara in a cute Christmas dress.

 

“Everyone!” Dara smiled.

 

Everyone ran towards Dara.

 

“Well, Well, Well!!! So the one who causes this sparkles and glows and happiness all over the hallway is our little princess! You’re very important in this event Sandara Park, the hall’s atmosphere was sad but when you smile and came, happiness and love filled the air! You’re our sunshine!” the announcer smiled gladly and announced it to the hall.

 

“Such a long speech, idiot.” Jiyong and Minzy glanced at the announcer.

 

“We missed you Dara!” Hye Sun hugged Dara

 

“And I miss you all!” Dara giggled when she saw Minzy.

 

“Minzy!” Dara looked at Minzy.

 

“Come here Dummy!” Minzy smiled gently

 

“Minzy!” Dara ran towards Minzy

 

“You made me worry…I miss you.” Minzy hugged Dara and smiled.

 

“Minzy! Everyone!” Dara smiled.

 

“Merry Christmas!” Dara and everyone danced at the center of the hall, there was magical dust and sweet music all over, and they eat the giant cake. Christmas Eve was really fun.

 

“I’m glad you’re here now Dara!” Seungri smiled

 

“Thanks Seungri” Dara smiled back.

 

“Dara! You look so cute!” Dongwook lifted Dara like a princess,

 

“Dongwook Oppa!” Dara blushed; Jiyong threw a plate in Dongwook. (someone jealous kekeke!)

 

“Dongwook Oppa!” Dara screamed,.

 

“Jiyong!”

 

“Idiot!” Jiyong said looking at Dongwook

 

“That hurts!” Dongwook said trying to kick Jiyong but Teddy and Dara stopped him

 

“What was that for!?” Dongwook asked angrily

 

“That stupid girl is not a child anymore. So don’t carry her like that. You’re ually harassing her.” Jiyong said pointing to Dara

“I think Jiyong-shi is just jealous!” Gummy, Daesung, Seungri, Eun Joo, Vic, Bom, Hye Sun, Teddy, and Eun Hye teased

 

“I AM NOT!!!” Jiyong’s face turned red.

 

“He is so oh not!” Chaerin defended.

 

Everyone laughed and giggled when they saw the announcer come up the stage.

 

“Okay everyone! It’s time for the Christmas ball!” the announcer said

 

“This is the rule; we will turn off the lights in the entire hall! Then you need to grab someone and when the lights are , you need to dance with the one you grabbed! Even though it’s a boy or a girl or a teacher!” the announcer continued, “Now! We will turn off the lights now in 3…2…1… and off!” the entire hall was so dark.

 

“I can’t see” everyone keeps murmuring.

 

‘It’s hard to move! Everyone kept pushing and bumping me. I’ll just stand here and wait for someone to grab me.’ Dara said to herself.

 

“Okay! We will open the lights in 5…4…3…” the announcer said, suddenly someone grabbed Dara’s arm, “2…and 1! Lights open!” the announcer shouted.

 

“Whoa!” everyone was having fun and some looked shock.

 

“Jiyong!” Dara is shocked.

 

“I’m in a bad luck, I picked the stupid girl.” Jiyong rolled his eyes.

 

Partners: Eun Hye and Minho-nim; Hye Sun and Teddy; Bom and Donghae; Seungri and Chaerin; Dongwook and Gummy; Minzy and Daesung; and of course, Dara and Jiyong.

 

“Okay! Stays with you’re partner now. Here’s a little trivia for all the people in here. This is a tradition of this University, the legend says that in a dark place in a far away land there was a girl living there, the girl was tall, beautiful, have long soft hair and she was the muse of the village. The villagers lived in pure darkness. But one day, a stranger came and that stranger fell in-love to the girl, the girl also fell in-love to that stranger. Then they confessed to each other at the center of the village on Christmas eve, the two showed their love to each other and a beam of light scattered all over the village. The two couple- because of their love gave light and hope to the village. That’s the legend! So whoever is you’re partner now, you might live happily ever after in the future!” the announcer winked.

 

“WHAT!” Dara cried.

 

“Dongwook Oppa!!!” Dara rushed towards Dongwook.

 

“What’s wrong? Who’s you’re partner?” Dongwook asked Dara while comforting her.

 

“That stupid, idiot, pig, arrogant, and most of all ugly JIYONG!” Dara pointed to Jiyong.

 

“I’m not the one who’s a pig. Let’s say, who eats the whole food court last week?” Jiyong said with chaos.

 

“Well, it’s okay. Just dance with him, go on. The dance will start now.” Dongwook smiled and pushed Dara to Jiyong, Dara lost her balance and fell to Jiyong.

 

“Oopsie?” Dongwook giggled.

 

“Uhm, Dongwook? You didn’t only make them hug, you also made them kissed.” Gummy whispered.

 

“WHAT!” Chaerin shouted.

 

Dara quickly got up. Dara looked shocked and she is blushing and all.

 

‘I…I kissed Jiyong?’ Dara said to herself.

 

“You’re lips taste chocolate, didn’t you brushed you’re teeth?” Jiyong said wiping his lips,

 

“WHAT!” Dara said angrily.

 

“So they really DID kissed?” Teddy giggled,

 

“Y—Dongwook—OPPA!!!” Dara ran towards Dongwook but Dongwook ran away. Dara tried to catch Dongwook but Dongwook was too fast.

 

“Dara, you’ll just get tired.” Hye Sun said laughing.

 

“Huh? Where’s Jiyong? After kissing Dara he just disappeared? He had enough already?” Dongwook looked around as he was trying to dodge and ran away from Dara.

 

“IT WAS AN ACCIDENT! GOT IT! A-C-I-D-E-N-T!!! ACCIDENT!” Dara keep shouting in the hall.

 

“But you did kiss? And you’re spelling for ACCIDENT is wrong…” Dongwook and Teddy keep teasing her,

 

“H—Dara!!!” Chaerin chase Dara with her face all angry and she looks like Medusa.

 

“SULLI!!! Err…I mean Chaerin!” Dara cried.

 

“Please stop!!!” Dara keep running around the hall.

 

Everybody was having fun in the hall especially on Christmas Eve. But 1 person doesn’t,

 

“Donghae? Are you okay?” Eun Hye patted Donghae.

 

“Ah yes, I’m okay… just tired.” Donghae grinned.
