// JOINING !
We accept any idols, artists, actors, actresses and models that are active within the Asian or international/western entertainment industry and that are not currently involved in any investigations of sorts, have criminal charges or bullying allegations against them unless proven to be false.
We do not accept youtubers/streamers, influencers, freelance models or adult content creators. We also do not accept those who are married, deceased or have stated they do not want to be used for roleplay.
You as a typist and the faceclaim that you choose must both be at least 21 years old to join.
You need a semi-active and personal tumblr or aff account to join. You cannot apply with a roleplay or shared account. It needs to be at least 6 months old with some activity in the past for us to determine the age of the account. Make sure that your privacy settings allow us to contact you before sending in your application.
// RESERVATIONS !
All reservations last 48 hours and should include the name and group/occupation of your desired faceclaim, along with a unique password consisting of four letters followed by four numbers. Parts of this password will be posted publicly to identify that it's your reservation and once you apply you will enter all 8 characters. Due to this, make sure the code you use is random and not something tied to your faceclaim/something that can be easily guessed.
* ex. I would like to reserve Blackpink's Jennie, pw: ANJD-1967
You are the one providing this password, even if you reserve off anon. Any reservations not following these rules will be deleted.
// CREATING YOUR MUSE !
While you are free to change the month and day your muse was born the year must stay the same as the faceclaim you are using. You are not allowed to age them up or down.
We accept both AU and OC muses, so whether you choose to create a new name or keep that of your faceclaim is entirely up to you. If creating a new one remember to be respectful of their race/ethnicity and background.
Do not racebend. While your muse can be born and/or raised elsewhere you cannot change their race, this includes making them mixed if the faceclaim is not or vice versa.
You are in no way limited to the occupations/businesses listed on our locations page. You may give your character any job you like so long as it's realistic for their age. We will not be accepting occupations within the worker industry (such as onlyfans creator, escorts etc.)
If there are any triggering topis in your muse's background it is very important that you add a warning somewhere visible on your carrd/google doc/notion etc to make it easy for people to skip past that part if needed.
// RELATIONSHIPS !
We accept all ualities and forms of love. Marriage, pregnancy and npc children are allowed, but pictures of children (even when blurred) are not to be used.
The current dating ban is two weeks, take some time to focus on platonic relationships before romantic ones. If you're a moving couple both of you need to mention so on the app.
Muses that are 25 and under are allowed a maximum of 5 year in relationships and plots of romantic or ual nature.
// ACTIVITY !
Upon arrival you have 2 days from being introduced to make your first timeline update. Said update needs to be an IC sns post, as pinned posts linking to your bio does not count.
You are expected to make at least one sns timeline update every 10 days. Warnings will be sent out on the 11th day and removal happens on the 13th day if there is still no activity. Remember, your updates do not always have to include pictures!
To be considered active you are also expected to comment on a minimum of 2 timeline posts each week OR make 1 public thread reply. Comments made to your significant other or immediate friend group does not acount towards activity. Comments and threads are measured Sunday to Sunday, the time is reset at 12am KST.
A hiatus can be taken at the earliest 2 weeks after first joining. A full hiatus may last 1-2 weeks where no activity is required, and a semi-hiatus may last 2-3 weeks where you are still expected to show some activity. To request a hiatus simply message the mod account with your leave and return date. Do not assume your request has been granted because you sent the message, please wait until a mod has responded first.
// SETTING UP YOUR ACCOUNT !
When creating your mewe account please set your muse's full name in English. Don't use any special fonts, emojis, blank spaces or nicknames.
With mewe's latest mobile update now making personal links visible on the feed make sure that you go into your settings and change it to match your current muse and their username. You can find this under Settings > My Account > Personal Information > Personal Link. For mobile simply go to your profile and there should be an edit option next to the username OR go to the 'More' tab, click on the cog wheel > My Account > User Name. Despite this new feature not being visible on the web version yet we have still chosen to go ahead and make writing out an sns handle at the top of your post optional. If you wish to continue doing so for aesthetic purposes you may do so, but it is not required.
This is a closed roleplay group meaning you are not allowed to add people that are not part of Close To Home. So that admins and members can easily recognize that you're part of the group make sure that you add "Close To Home" or the map emoji somewhere on your profile.
Check that your settings allow us to view your contact list and that all feed preferences are set to new posts. The p**sw**d is your favorite flower.
It is encouraged that you have a bio for your muse, either as a pinned post or hosted on a platform of your choice. While you're free to build this during your stay with us you should have at least the basics of your muse posted within the first 3 days of your arrival.
Wait until a mod has introduced you in the arrivals group before adding other members or making use of the groups.
// BASICS !
You're allowed up to 2 muses. You must have been in the roleplay for a month with your first before you're able to pick up a second muse, and you cannot have two faceclaims from the same group, even former members.
If you're leaving the roleplay message the mod account first. If you leave without informing or delete your account before a mod has acknowledged your message you will be banned from joining again. If you've been removed for inactivity you must wait 2 days before you can reapply.
As always basic roleplaying etiquette applies. God-modding, metagaming, bullying, bubble roleplaying, shipchasing/facechasing and mixing IC and OOC may be cause for a strike or immediate removal.
Be kind to each other. Don't start unplotted drama and if you run into issues with another writer try to talk it out nicely between the two of you before going to an admin.
