Approximately five months have passed since their Japan tour. Not wasting any time, Le Sserafim got back to work upon their return to South Korea, some members with solo activities, other as a group. Today is a charity event as a group, spending a day at a children’s hospital, talking to the kids, and trying to raise funds for children’s cancer. Even though most of the kids don’t know who they are yet, many are still happy to interact with them, especially the kids whose parents can’t be there. At midday there is an obligatory PR photo session, followed by helping the staff, by bringing the kids lunch out to all the wards. Only after things have settled down a bit do they have their own lunch in the hospital’s cafeteria, which is split to a lower level a half dozen steps down where there’s a play area. Yunjin is seated, eating a sandwich, overlooking Kazuha who is still playing with babies, as Chaewon joins her. They both stare at Kazuha who looks incredibly happy.

‘She’s pretty amazing, huh?” asks Chaewon, which doesn’t get a reply. They both nibble on food while watching Kazuha. After a few moments, Chaewon looks over to Yunjin again, noticing how devotedly she observes her

‘When are you two going to make it official then?” Chaewon asks, not expecting anything. Yunjin looks over only with her eyes at first.

“What? Make what official?” replies Yunjin with a semi confused look on her face

“The fact that you’re you know… dating each other” Yunjin now fully turns her head in a half shocked, half very confused expression. After taking a moment, closing and composing herself responds

“Kim Chaewon, I don’t appreciate your insinuation. Look at her. Look! Look at her!” Yunjin waits for Chaewon to comply, when she does, she continues “Look at her, she is the very definition of innocence! Now, I admit that I feel very close to her, and I do love her, just as you do, I mean, tell me you don’t love her” They both look at her like a parent would, smiling at this wonderful woman playing with the kids

“No, you’re right of course. I love her too, I just feel that you love her a bit more though, no? I apologize if I hurt you, and I’m on your side. I mean no disrespect, but, and don’t kill me, if there is something there, don’t you owe it to yourself to see if she feels the same, I mean you never know right?” Chaewon’s sincere apology cuts deep

“Maybe your apology hurt more than it should have. Maybe I’m defensive because I fear you may be right and I fail to see it. Maybe you’re right. I’m sorry I snapped at you unnie. Zuha does occupy many of my thoughts, but honestly, I feel protective over her. She makes me happy” The warmest smile spreads over Chaewon’s face at hearing this

“Pretty obvious that she makes you happy Jen. I could have chosen a better way to bring it up. What I said, well let’s forget it for now hmm?

“But.I-“ Yunjin interjects but is cut off

“Forget it. Let’s end on this for now, besides, I need to pee” and so Chaewon gets up, and goes to the bathroom leaving Yunjin to contemplate what was said. Yunjin knows something is up. She knows in her opinion, th
