At a very young age Xiao zhan's father died due to health complications leaving him and his mother and older brother, but when she was offered the chance to remarry she leaves Xiao zhan behind with his older brother and sister-in-law who resents him. Years goes by he grows up to be a fine man and lives with his older brother and sister-in-law working day to day to survive attending the fields ,helping around when he can. His life than changed as well when he also catches the eye of the Head celestial beings daughter with his flute playing.
