Holding an old grimoire in his hand, Jongwoon spread his other hand and pointed the palm at a man in front of him, Cho Kyuhyun, the senior student from the Faculty of Business and the most popular guy in the college. Good-looking, smart, and coming from a well-off family, Cho Kyuhyun had always been a target of many people's love. Various men and women had tried to confess to the famous student but he coldly rejected them all. For that reason, he was named the "Ice Prince".

Kim Jongwoon, on the other hand, was a normal freshman student. Well, he was an orphan and very poor so he wasn't that normal... Just like other students, he also had a crush on the Ice Prince but he knew his place, only watching the senior from afar. However, two events changed his heart. First, he accidentally found an old grimoire while working his part-time job at an antique shop. Since he had nothing to lose anyway, Jongwoon decided to try out the spell and followed the steps thoroughly. He swallowed nervously. Would something like this really work...? Senior Kyuhyun just looked at him without saying anything and it started to discourage him. He should have known! Magic isn't—

During the movie, he glanced at the smaller man, believing that Jongwoon might make a move soon.

Kyuhyun was speechless. The person who asked him out on a movie date, watching a romance movie in a honeymoon seat, had already fallen asleep. Jongwoon sprang up with a crimson face. The black-haired junior used the notebook to cover his face but he still spotted the tip of his reddened ears. Kyuhyun couldn't help but tease his little boyfriend.

 

"Jongwoon, did you pretend to sleep to see how I would react? Are you seducing me?"

"What!!? No! Sunbae, I-I just cast a spell to make me smarter for the quiz!"

"How?"

"Here! If I put sunbae's notebook over my head like this, then all the formulas will be absorbed into my brain!"

 

As if to prove his point, Jongwoon put the open notebook on top of his head and closed his eyes, before mumblings something along the lines of "I'll pass the exam". This poor excuse was obviously just an excuse but Kyuhyun gleefully played along.

 

"Hmm, if Jongwoon can remember everything by using this method, then, I have no reason to tutor you anymore, right?"

 

Kyuhyun snorted at his little boyfriend's shocked Pikachu face. As he thought, Jongwoon didn't think far with that excuse. The younger man immediately panicked. He could easily see gears spinning in that big head. After a while, the weird junior spoke up quietly while blushing.

 

"A-Actually, sunbae, I just realized that my spell is incomplete so I still need your help..."

"Huh? How so? Your love spell and cat tongue spell seem to work just fine so should this one. As I thought, we don't need to meet after classes anymore."

Kyuhyun patted the junior's head again. His heart purred in unknown satisfaction seeing those joyful eyes only look at him. He quickly shoved it back into the depth of his heart and continued to teach his little boyfriend before he had time to ponder about the cause of his irregular heartbeat. Jongwoon called him and showed him his finished exercise. When he praised the younger man, Jongwoon beamed and bowed his head, waiting for more head pat from him. When he didn't move, the younger man glanced up and tilted his head, before pouting.

Some of you probably knew from my feed that I recently got sick again  T T  Really, January 2023 has been rough with me so far and I feel tired most of the time. (Though it's also probably side effects of med I take). I have plenty fic ideas but I struggle to write... That's why the update will be irregular for now.
