[Third Person’s POV]

"Nice seeing you here"

Jinni sighed quietly after hearing the voice she wanted to avoid the whole time.

Oh Haewon.

The blonde girl knew that the older girl would be there since she is the best friend of the house owner, but she hoped that the house was big enough for the two of them not to bump into each other.

Her friends are also nowhere near her so she couldn't ask them for help.

With all the energy left in her, she turned around with a smile

"Yeah hi, it's been a while"

she answered with gritted teeth and a fake smile.

Haewon didn't seem to notice and just smiled at her brighter

"It's almost like you are avoiding me"

Jinni couldn't help but laugh at this, getting a confused look from the older girl

"Why would I avoid you? Our breakup went great with no sadness, no anger or confusion"

Now Haewon seemed to understand the situation, her smile going down

"You know what? Wouldn't it be awesome if we become best friends?"

Jinni added, her voice getting louder and louder, getting some attention from people around them.

The older girl looked around,

not liking the atmosphere but it didn't matter to the blonde girl.

She was so done with this whole game.

Haewon and Jinni were together for a half year, and everything was great. That's what Jinni thought at least.

One day when they were chilling in Jinni's bed, Haewon asked for a breakup, her only explanation was that she didn't really like being in a relationship.

That she still wants to get to know other people.

Jinni was heartbroken and tried to understand the older girl. Nevertheless, after the breakup, Haewon just acted like nothing happened, like before when they were still just friends.

Even after Jinni asked for distance, Haewon acted the same.

And that's why the younger girl did everything to avoid her. Sometimes it worked, sometimes she bumped into her.

Luckily until now, either her best friends Sullyoon and Bae or her younger sister Kyujin were able to help her out.

It's been three weeks till the breakup and Jinni knew after seeing her now that she should be honest and make it clear that they couldn't be like this anymore.

"Can we talk somewhere else?"

Jinni could see how desperate Haewon is, but it didn't matter to Jinni

"How about we don't talk at all?"

the next expression she got was heartbreaking,

even more than what she felt after the breakup.

Haewon had tears in her eyes.

Jinni only saw the older girl crying once the time they know each other.

She thought that Haewon was acting for a moment but that would be another level of and not even Haewon was that cruel.

Instead of giving her an answer, she just shook her head, giving the girl a pointed look to follow her.

She didn't wait and just moved upstairs, seeing if a room was empty for the two to talk.

When she found one she got inside and took in a deep breath before Haewon would get inside.

The brunette closed the door and right after Jinni felt the shivers. Memories of their relationship went through her mind and Jinni was frozen for a moment, not able to form a sentence.

"So….."

she heard the older girl's voice but wasn't able to look her in the eyes.

She heard that Haewon was taking a seat on the bed, maybe to lessen her nervousness but it didn't help.

Jinni stood there like a tree, scolding herself for agreeing to her ex.

"I don't really know what to say if I'm being honest"

Haewon said with a chuckle, hoping to make it less awkward.

"Am I this awful that you can't even look at me anymore?"

Jinni sigh and turned to the brunette, lifting her head and locking eyes with her

"It's hard"

she confessed

"Why?"

Jinni was irritated

"Why? Do you have no clue why it is hard for me to be near you?"

"I'm clueless Zinni, I thought we both agreed on this breakup,"

Haewon said with a small hint of frustration in her voice.

Hearing her ex calling her by her nickname was just worse

"Yeah we both agreed, but that doesn't mean that I wasn't sad or mad. I asked you for distance, but you act like nothing happened"

"Why didn't you explain it to me?"

"Because you don't listen. I'm still trying to move on, and you don't make it easy by always being near me"

Jinni explained with every frustrating feeling she had inside.

She felt how her vision got blurred but she wouldn't let herself cry.

Not today.

"I-I'm sorry"

she could see that the older girl meant it

"It's fine, just please give me some space"

Jinni said and moved to leave the room

"But I don't want to"

she could hear Haewon say out loud.

It confused the blonde and irritated her in the worst way possible.

She turned around and glared at the older girl.

Looking at her with an expression Haewon had never seen before

"Are you kidding me? Are you ing kidding me?"

without waiting for an answer, she continued

"I agreed to talk to you, I explained why I avoid you, I opened up again and let my heart break another time after just seeing you and you tell me that you don't want to?"

she then went closer and bend down,

so close that their faces were an inch away from each other

"I don't want to play your ing games, so stop confusing me with yo-"

she couldn't end her rent talking when lips were stopping her from talking.

Her eyes widen when she realized what happened and pulled away.

She was too stunned to speak and just left the room before tears were falling down.

She pulled her phone out and dialed a number.

Two rings and it was picked up

'Hey, are you hav-'

Jinni didn't let her end the sentence

"Can you pick me up?"

she asked, hoping the crack in her voice wasn't too obvious

'Jinni?'

"Please?"

she couldn't help but sob out loud,

hoping the students around her wouldn't notice it

'I'm on my way'

they ended the call and Jinni moved faster while texting her friends that she is leaving the party and that they shouldn't worry about her.

She sigh in relief when she got out of the house and breathed fresh air.

"JINNI"

she couldn't look back, her tears becoming more, and she started to run.

Running was the only way to get out of her sight.

She couldn't deal with her ex again, not after what she did.

It was dark and only a few lamps were on, but it didn't matter to her.

Everything around her went silent.

Only when she heard a honk and bright light, did she stop in her tracks. Her eyes widen when she saw a car coming her way.

She couldn't move, frozen in her place.

The only thing she could do was close her eyes and wait for the car to hit her.

However, she felt nothing like that.

She got yanked away, making her roll on the grass by the impact.

When she opened her eyes she saw Haewon next to her,

looking at her with wide eyes

"Are you crazy?"

when she didn't say anything the older girl began to panic more

"Jinni, are you hurt?"

when Haewon touched her arm, the younger girl pulled away quickly as if she burned herself

"Stop, please stop and go"

she couldn't help but cry.

Haewon didn't know what to do but she tried to touch the younger girl again, wanting to help her get up

"Jin-"

"I said GO"

"I can't leave you h-"

"JINNI"

the blonde looked to where the voice came from and slowly stood up

"Go away from her"

Haewon quickly moved to the side, afraid of what will happen if she doesn't listen to the older girl

"Jihyo Unnie, I'm okay"

Jinni said with a weak voice.

She doesn't want to worry her sister.

"It doesn't seem like it"

the older girl answered and then turned to Haewon

"What did you do to my sister?"

before Haewon could say something,

Jinni stopped her sister by hugging her

"Please just bring me home"

Jihyo's glare went away and she caressed her sister's hair before giving her a peck on the head

"Alright let's go"

they started to move to the car

"Jinni"

Haewon called her in a whispered tone

"Please"

it was a desperate whisper but Haewon understood the meaning of it and went back to the house with her head hanging low.

On their way back home, Jinni fell asleep, while Jihyo used every red light to look at the younger girl to check if her sister was really fine.

When they arrived at the house, Jihyo carried her to her room.

She changed her clothes into her pajamas and left the room after checking on her again.

She is glad that their mother didn't notice what happened since it would be too much for Jinni to explain everything.

The next morning Jinni felt thirsty. She went to the bathroom to wash her face, only to see that her makeup was smudged all over her eyes.

No wonder with how much she cried.

Right, yesterday was one of the most awful days Jinni experienced in her life. She was too exhausted to think about it, but her mind felt numb.

She couldn't enjoy her warm shower nor the feeling of her favorite sweater which was fluffy.

Her body ached a bit, probably because of her almost accident with the car, but she didn't care about it right now.

She took a deep breath before she went downstairs.

Her mother and Jihyo were in the kitchen, preparing breakfast

"Good morning"

Jinni said with a smile.

She avoided the look her sister was giving her,

knowing it was full of worry

"Morning sweetie, Jihyo and I craved some pancakes. Could you wake up Kyujin? We will be ready in five minutes"

Jinni nodded and moved back upstairs to her little sister's room.

She couldn't help but chuckle when she saw the position, Kyujin was sleeping in. Jinni believes that her sister could be a model in the future.

It wasn't hard to wake up the younger girl when she talked about their mother making pancakes.

It was comfortable to eat at the table with the four women talking about their weekend. Kyujin would meet her best friends Jiwoo and Leeseo while Jihyo was planning on going out with her boyfriend.

Jinni could tell that Jihyo only hesitated because of her but she doesn't want to be in the way of her sister's life, so she told her family about her plans to go with Bae and Sullyoon to the art museum.

It wasn't that big of a lie since Sullyoon asked the two to go with her, which both denied, not really interested in art.

However now Jinni thought it was best to distract herself.

After eating and washing the dishes, she called her friend and told her about the plan.

Sullyoon was more than happy while Bae groaned at the idea but still agreed, most likely to know what happened at the party.

Jinni wasn't in the mood to talk about it but maybe it could help her to get Haewon away from her if the older girl tries to talk to her again.

While getting her jeans out of the closet,

a knock was heard and Jihyo got inside the room

"Should I drive you to the museum?"

"You don't have to. Have fun with your boy"

Jinni said in a teasing way, making Jihyo roll her eyes.

"Are you really okay?"

Jinni knew that this question would come but the thought of Haewon made her choke up a bit.

She just nodded and smiled at her sister giving her the

'I will be okay' look.

The older girl didn't ask more and went on her date, while Jinni got changed.

It helped her to spend some time with her friends.

She really could see how Bae did her best not to ask her what happened.

However, when they got something to eat after visiting the museum,

the short-haired girl couldn't help anymore

"Spill the tea Jinni"

Sullyoon smacked Bae lightly for how she started the conversation and Jinni couldn't help but laugh.

She then talked about what happened

"She kissed you?"

Jinni nodded, her head low after repeating yesterday's happenings.

"Wow, and did she explain why?"

Bae was hit again

"Of course, she didn't. That girl doesn't know when to take things seriously"

Sullyoon said with a huff

"Are you sure? It sounds to me like she still feels something from Jinni and doesn't know what to do"

"Then she wouldn't have just broken up with her and talked first, like every normal human"

"If I remember correctly it was her first relationship-"

"Jinni's too"

"But she run after her and saved Jinni from the car"

"Every stable person would save someone from being hit by a car"

"You are way too pessimistic"

"And you are too optimistic. Do you want Jinni to get hurt again?"

"Of course not. I'm just say-"

"Guys I'm right here. Stop talking about it now"

Jinni said, getting a headache from hearing her friends arguing

"I don't know why she did, and I don't want to know. I'm moving on from her and if she doesn't know what she feels then that's her problem not mine"

she added with a hint of frustration in her voice.

After that, both Sullyoon and Bae stopped talking about it.

The girls decided to go to the mall since Bae needed a new pair of shoes and Jinni needed a few things for her classes.

The two younger girls regretted it right after they got inside the mall, when Sullyoon dragged them to the first clothing store, showing them a few pink clothes.

They spend three hours there before each of them went home.

Jinni felt better, thinking that the weekend is good for her heart.

She went straight to her room to change into comfortable clothes.

She then grabbed a book and got on her bed.

However, when she opened the book her door opened and Kyujin got inside.

There was this look the younger girl had on.

A look she always has when she did something wrong.

Jinni patted her bed, signaling her sister to take place

"Hey, something wrong?"

she then asked. Kyujin was debating with herself if she should say it or not but thought it was better not to keep something a secret

"Well I was out with the girls and Jiwoo told me what happened yesterday...."

she started the sentence.

Of course, Jiwoo knows about it.

Haewon talks to her younger sister about everything.

Jinni should have known.

She just thought that maybe Haewon didn't even know what happened anymore since her acts were just weird

"It's okay Kyujin. It happened and I don't want to think about it and just continue to move on"

she explained with a smile, not wanting to worry her younger sister

"Are you sure you want to move on?"

now Jinni was confused

"I mean, Jiwoo told me how Haewon felt, and I think the best is if you two talk it out"

Jinni could only sigh

"Kyujin..... It's not that easy. I'm tired of it. She hurt my feelings and doesn't respect my personal space. I don't want to hear her saying sorry and next second kissing me"

"I'm sorry Unnie"

Jinni hated the sad expression on Kyujin and opened her arms.

The younger girl knew what it mea
