Angel Baby (MiHyun)

Description

No matter how famous ballerina Myoui Mina becomes, no amount of love compares to the love of her two most precious angels.

(totally inspired by Troye Sivan's "Angel Baby")

Foreword

Mina has gotten used to the sudden loud clapping. In her earlier years, it used to surprise her, especially when she was at her lowest point in life, but now she barely flinches.

Yet another one of her recitals have gone perfectly. She worked especially hard for this one, since her loved ones are somewhere in the audience. She smiles as she gracefully bows to the clapping crowd.

"Mama!"

Mina looked up in surprise.

She looked everywhere for the source of the voice, and she sees them.

Her beloved wife and son, smiling the widest out of everyone. Mina couldn't help but smile too, happy they no longer have to wear masks so she could see their gummy smiles.

Old her would've immediately stopped smiling because people would've wondered why she was randomly smiling out of nowhere. But old her is gone now.

Mina loves her family so much. In fact, back when Dahyun was pregnant, Mina unhesitatingly went on a short hiatus to be there for her and for Sunghoon to have two parents. It took a hell lot of convincing from Dahyun for Mina to return to ballet.

"Minari-unnie, I'm not going to die and neither is the baby, I just slipped because of the wet floor." Dahyun comforts, trying to calm her panicking older wife.

"But Dubu-chan, what if something happened? God, I knew I shouldn't have left you alone for the day." Mina fusses, checking over Dahyun for injury.

She was just 3 months along but Mina was already going crazy.

Dahyun was honestly doing fine or as ok as she could being pregnant.

She had morning sickness, mood swings, she had moments of being slightly fatigued, and she had the strange as cravings already.

The doctors said that it was perfectly normal for it was a sign the baby was developing well.

Mina's big sister instincts, the one she had ever since she met Dahyun (because she's such a simp), to protect and stay by her wife were in overdrive.

She could barely leave Dahyun alone for five minutes without feeling anxious. Even when Dahyun reassures her with that sugary sweet voice of hers, her paranoia wasn't satisfied enough. Dahyun couldn't blame her, Mina always suffered from an anxiety disorder for a long time and it got more severe three years ago, which worsened her already extreme insecurity about being good enough for the younger girl. She worried about their future, the fact that Dahyun's family were Christians which meant there was a chance that they were homophobic, if they could have kids, and a lot of other things, some probably not even that big. Dahyun's presence helped her get better, but sometimes it returns.

And today was another one of its comebacks.

"That's it, I'm taking another hiatus so I can stay at home." Mina declares determinedly.

Dahyun looks shocked. "Unnie, you can't do that just for me! What about"

"I can and I will," Mina interrupts, fire in her eyes. "I don't get recitals a lot anyway, and even if I did, we have a dance studio in our house so I'm still able to practice my moves. I'll just be able to be near you."

Dahyun didn't say anything. Instead, she looks to the ceiling, blinking back tears.

"Are you crying? Oh, darling, don't cry," Mina coos, pulling the small girl onto her lap.

"I can't help it, it's the stupid hormones," Dahyun mutters petulantly, pouting cutely as she wipes her eyes.

Mina laughs, pecking Dahyun's lips. "Let's go change into pajamas, my lovely emotional disaster."

The hit that comes with it is totally worth it in Mina's opinion. But everything Dahyun was worth it.

Because Dahyun is her sunshine, the light of Mina's life, her angel, the sweet and gentle soul who coaxed her out of her broody and angsty moments, the one who makes her laugh when she feels too dull of emotion or when she's in a bad mood, but most importantly; the love of her life.

And she now has another love when their son Sunghoon came into the world on the eve of the eighth of December.

After changing into a off shoulder dress and heels and fixing her bun, Mina went to find her family.

"Unnie! You did so well!" Chaeyoung, dressed in a suit but with shorts instead of pants and black boots, says cheerfully as she gives the older a hug.

"Thank you, Chae." Mina says, smiling.

"Hi, Mina-unnie." Tzuyu says, holding hands with Jeongyeon.

"Oh, Tzu-chan! How was Taiwan with Jeongyeon?"

"My family loved her, and Kaya and Butter. They got along well with their new siblings."

"Wait, was that Dahyun's favorite song you danced to?" Jeongyeon says with her mischievous grin. Mina answered by blushing at the question.

"MITANG!" Momo and Sana yelled, pulling Mina into a bone crushing hug. "THAT WAS SO GOOD! AND IT'S BEEN AN ETERNITY SINCE WE LAST SAW YOU!"

"Alright, let her go. You'll break her bones." Jihyo says as she pulls Momo off, Nayeon doing the same with Sana.

"Yo, congrats on your comeback recital." Nayeon says.

"Thank you, unnie. And I'm sorry we haven't been around much."

Jihyo waved it off. "It's alright. We understand. You and Dahyunnie are parents now."

"Since the topic on them now, where's Dubu? I miss her..."

"Right here!"

As if she was filming a scene in a drama, Mina gracefully turned around to the sound of the voice.

There she is. The love of her life: Myoui Dahyun. Her current look did her visuals and beautiful hourglass figure justice. She wore an off shoulder top that looked similar to Mina's dress and a black mini skirt with matching heels. Her straight raven locks that contrasted her ivory skin was down.

In her arms was their precious baby boy, Sunghoon, dressed in a white shirt with a tanned blazer and pants from the tux they bought for him last week, along with his favorite footie socks. Dahyun always puts their boy in the cutest outfits.

"Hi, penguin unnie." Dahyun says with a bright smile.

"Hi, baby." Mina says with the biggest gummy smile ever.

"You're such a simp." Nayeon smirks. Normally, she would say "ing", but the group is banned from swearing in close proximity of Sunghoon since he's starting to talk now and they have seen Mina angry twice and those two moments were scarier than a haunted house.

"At least I'm not single at 26." Mina says in a rare moment of sassiness as she kisses Dahyun's forehead, not listening to Nayeon's rant of why she's not a "Christmas Cake" woman because she's with Sana.

"I told you returning would be the best thing to happen to you." Dahyun says. "It's impossible to give up your first love."

"You're always right." Mina answers as she kisses Sunghoon's forehead too. "But ballet may be my first love, but the last love is more special."

"Who's your last love?" Dahyun asks curiously.

Mina giggles fondly at the younger. Even after all this time. Dahyun is still oblivious. "You."

"E-Eh?" Dahyun goes red-faced.

"Well... you and Hoon are tied, but yeah. You're both my last loves."

Dahyun was at a lost of words. Mina giggles again as she gives the younger a quick kiss on the lips, covering Sunghoon's eyes.

"Y'all are so cute!" Chaeyoung gushed.

"Dahyun-unnie, can I please hold Sunghoon?" Tzuyu asks. "I promise to be careful." she immediately adds when Mina makes the face she does when she's in protective mode.

"Okay." Dahyun says, handing her baby to the youngest in their friend group.

"I wonder what Sunghoon will look like when he's all grown up," Tzuyu says while, stifling a laugh when Jeongyeon made Sunghoon laugh by doing silly faces. "I do know that he'll be so handsome."

"Of course he's handsome. His moms are visuals!" Jeongyeon declares.

"Which one does he look more like? Mina? Or Dahyunnie?"

"I can't tell." Jihyo says. "Maybe Mina? He has her moles."

"I don't know, Hyo," Sana objects. "It's probably Dahyunnie-chan."

"I agree, I've seen Dahyun's baby photos. He looks exactly like baby her, but with Mina's moles." Momo lightly pinches Sunghoon's baby cheeks. "He even has her cheeks!"

Dahyun ignores the thought of how Momo saw her baby photos.

Jihyo, meanwhile, was stunned by Momo's betrayal. "Yah, did you propose to me or Sana?"

Everyone burst into laughter when Momo just looks at her nails. Even Jihyo couldn't help but let out a little snicker.

"Honey," Sana says, clinging onto Nayeon's arm. "Who do you think Sunghoon looks like more? Mina or Dahyun?"

Nayeon thinks for a moment as she takes Sunghoon into her arms, ignoring Tzuyu glaring laser beams at her. "Right now, he's still a baby. We'll see when he's older. But from what I can tell... he's the perfect blend between both of his mothers."

The seven girls nod in agreement hearing that. Seeing how Sunghoon has features of the both of them, their genes must be really strong.

Mina swoops by and snatches her son from Nayeon's arms, making Nayeon pout and everyone laugh again.

"Minari," Dahyun whines. "No need to be overprotective. Nayeonnie-unnie is trustworthy."

"I can't really help it." Mina says, hand on Dahyun's ant waist. "I need to protect my angels."

Dahyun gets all blushy again. "I-I love you, penguin unnie."

"Sorry, what was that, angel?" Mina couldn't help but tease.

Dahyun pouts. "I love you!"

Mina adjusts her hold on Sunghoon so she could Dahyun's face. "Awww... I love you, too."

"Mama." Sunghoon says, looking at him with big eyes. Mina notes that it's as bright as Dahyun's. "I lub ywu."

Mina and Dahyun look at each other with excitement before Mina kisses the crown of Sunghoon's head. "Yes, Hoonie. Mama loves you too. Both of us do."
