The Dark Chocolate Escape
Description
"I want to live a life where worries and troubles don't exist."
"I want to live a life where perfection doesn't control my every move."
"I want to live a life where I can just be free."
Overly-controlling parents. A not-so-perfect boyfriend. The weight of everyone's expectations, family, friends, and teachers alike, burdening your shoulders. Leading the life of a perfect girlfriend, a perfect student, and a perfect daughter is not as easy as people think it is. In fact, it's slowly driving Choi Sooyun more and more over the edge, bringing her closer to the point where she just wants to let everything go and scream.
"Give me an escape I can use. Drugs. Alcohol. Anything. Just something that will make me forget and feel alive again."
And then she meets Infinite, the biggest drug dealing gang in all of Seoul. Upon their first meeting, Sooyun doesn't hesitate to strike a deal with them, offering to exchange stacks of crisp green bills for a tiny bag of ecstasy. It's a good bargain, right? Not according to their mysterious member L, who has a soul like a shrouded canvas and keeps refusing her pleas for help.
"Drugs are like dark chocolate. You think it's sweet at first and savor the taste, but as it slowly melts in your mouth, you realize too late how bitter it can really be."

Foreword
"I never wanted any of this. I never wanted a life controlled by demanding parents, a cheating bastard of a boyfriend, or the need to do every little thing perfectly. What I want is a way to end this all. To get away from it. Just give me an escape from reality."
He stared at me, unblinking with those cold, glaring eyes. When he spoke at last, his words were like ice, cutting through the still of the air with the sharpness of a razor-edged blade.
"You want an escape from reality? You mean the quickest and most crudest way out there is possible?" He gestured fiercely at the little baggies lying in front of him, and I couldn't help but flinch at the movement. Where had the quiet and reserved boy who'd saved me just earlier that day disappeared to?
He continued in the same angry voice, raw emotion raging across the blank expression he'd worn before. "This is probably the first time you've ever felt low enough to sink to this level of desperation, isn't it? An innocent girl like you, what would you know... You think that getting high today will help you forget your problems for the rest of your life? Well, let me tell you something.
"This is never ending. Once you get hooked into the world of drugs and addiction, you can never go back."

This story is a fanfic that I created completely on my own. I do not own Infinite, its members, or anything other than this story. Any similarities between this and another story are pure coincidences.
