"Junho, you're making this more complicated." she worked hard to keep her face expressionless.

She can't let him see that she cared: it will spur him on further. "I'm older than you; we can't be together." she said simply.

The society had set unwritten rules, and one clearly stated that an older woman who loves a younger man will be frowned upon. It is correct. Normal. The right thing to do.
