Mrs.Bae: Sweety, how come I never heard of this incident before? (looking at her husband) Do you know anything about this Taeng?
Mr.Bae: No, this is my first time hearing it as well. When did this happen Sweetheart?
Irene: It happened when we're in 3rd grade.
I'm sorry Mom/Dad I just don't want to worry you two about small matters
Mrs.Bae: Your health is not a small matter Irene.
Did your Grandfather knew about this incident? If so, why did he hid this incident from us?
Irene: Mom, no one knew about that incident except me and Seulgi. Besides, Seulgi was there to help me so I didn't mention that incident to anyone else
Mr.Bae: Son, thank you for taking care of Irene when we can't be there for her
Seulgi: It's not a big deal Uncle, we're good friends anyway
Mrs.Kang: Does that mean Irene stayed at the School dormitory like our Seulgi here?
Mr.Bae: Yes Jessi, since Irene is my father's eldest grandchild. He wanted her to be his sole successor of his own Company
Mrs.Bae: You're such a caring young man even back then Seulgi. I'm glad that Irene has a friend like you
Seulgi: Thank you Auntie

.Going back on eating their meal with a light conversation here and there, mostly the parents.
When suddenly, there's a clanking sound made by Joohyun. She accidentally elbowed her salad fork

Mr.&Mrs.Bae: Be careful Sweety
Irene: (smiling while slightly bowing her head) sorry
Mr.&Mrs.Kang: It's okay Irene
Irene: (she bends on her side to pick up her salad fork)
Seulgi: (seeing Joohyun bending on her side, he quickly move his left hand to palm the table's corner edge, but still looking on his food)
Irene: (going back on her sitting position, she saw Seulgi's hand on the table's corner edge then smile inwardly because of his sweet gesture) thank you
Seulgi: Mmhhmm (mouthful nodding his head)

.Their parents are watching the scene with an amused look in their eyes then proceed on eating their meal. After having their delicious dinner accompanied by laughter and delightful conversations. They decided to have some coffee and dessert before ending the wonderful evening, knowing that the two are getting along just fine and also for them to spend more time with the kids.

Mr.Kang: Let's have some dessert and coffee before we end this wonderful evening
Mr.Bae: I agree with that Yul
Mrs.Bae: But let's not forget that the kids have to attend their class tomorrow
Mrs.Kang: We should call it a day after having some dessert so the kids can go home and take their much needed rest
Irene: Excuse me for a moment, I need to use the ladies' room
Mrs.Bae: Okay Sweety, I'll order for you then
Seulgi: Would you like me to accompany you outside the ladies' room?
Irene: No it's okay, thank you
Seulgi: Okay

.While their parents are busy on choosing desserts. Seulgi watches Joohyun making her way to the ladies' room when he noticed a man staring at Irene as she passed by the Man's table. And after a few seconds, the man got up from his seat and went to the washroom's direction. Not wasting another minute, he got up from his seat

Seulgi: Ma, please order an earl grey tea and sticky toffee pudding. I will excuse myself too to the mens' room
Mr.Kang: Okay Honey, we'll be upstairs at the balcony. Just fetch Irene on your way back
Seulgi: Okay Ma (briskly walking to the washroom area to check on Joohyun)

.Upon reaching the washroom's hallway, Seulgi's guess was right. The man from earlier is leaning on the wall near the ladies' room's entrance seemingly waiting for someone. Seulgi quickly made his way to where Joohyun is and at the same time she was about to leave the washroom when she saw Seulgi popping out of nowhere scaring the sh*t out of her

J: Yah! you scared me. What are you doing here?
S: (grinning like a cute bear he is) Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you. Is it a bad thing to fetch my girlfriend?
J: Really, you and your silliness. Let's go (patting Seulgi's head with a bright smile)
S: After you my lady (gesturing for her to walk first, before he glared at the man who's staring at Joohyun's retreating back)

.Running to Joohyun's side, he placed his left arm to her waist before gently pulling her to his side. While his right hand is busy unfastening his buttoned-down shirt

J: (startled by his bold gesture) what are you doing?
S: (innocently speaking out his mind) uhm, letting everyone know that you're very much taken
J: *blushing* how can you say such thing with a straight face?
S: What's wrong with that? I'm just being honest.
Oh right, we're heading upstairs. They wanted to have some fresh air
J: (thinking about their situation right now) Babe, do you think it's a good thing to tell them about us now?
S: I'm thinking the same thing Babe. I don't want your parents to hate me for dating their eldest child who supposedly engaged to someone. But luckily, that someone is me😁
J: (leaning her head to Seulgi's shoulder) I was so scared and worried when they said that I will meet my fiance. But I felt so grateful that it was you and not anyone else
S: Actually, earlier I was thinking that maybe we have to use the escape plan we made back in Middle school if ever worse comes to worst. But I'm glad that the girl I'm engaged to is you and that made me think that everything happens for a reason even though we don't know the reason yet. I'm just happy that it's you who I wanted to marry and also the one I supposedly marry (kissing Joohyun's crown)

[Their Parents are having their own conversation while waiting for the two]

Mr.Bae: Can I be honest about this arranged marriage?
Mr.Kang: Of course Taeng, and I think we have the same thought about this
Mr.Bae: I guess so too. Honestly, I'm against to my Father's decision about this arranged marriage.
I know that he wanted the best for his Granddaughter, but forcing her to be with someone she doesn't even know or love is the worst thing ever
Mr.Kang: Mmhhmm, I know that feeling. I did argue with my Dad almost everytime we see each other, hoping that he would changed his mind about this. It was so frustrating that I can't do anything about it. But when they finally decided last year that it's time for us to know who will be our childs fiance. I felt relieved that atleast it's my Bestfriend's daughter who will be my son's fiance
Mrs.Kang: But let's not forget about the kids feelings and our own decision that if somehow they have their own lovers. We will call off this engagement for their sake
Mrs.Bae: Jessi is right, we can't be selfish. Even though the kids look like a real couple and we want them to be together, we need to respect their own decision even if that means we have to protect them from your respective Fathers
Mrs.Kang: I still don't understand those old men. They never did such thing to us back then, but suddenly they decided to wed off the kids without even giving them a room for discussion
Mrs.Bae: I think it would be better if we ask them about their opinion before we send them home
Mrs.Kang: Tiff, don't get me wrong. I wanted Irene for my son and to be my daughther as well. But I just wanted the both of them to live without regret and make their own choices
Mr.Kang&Mr.Bae: But we also hope that they're not seeing someone
Mrs.Kang&Mrs.Bae: Oh zip it you two!!

.Seulgi and Irene made their way to the balcony where their parents are sitted. Again, he pulls out the chair for Irene and before he takes a sit, he removed his buttoned-down shirt that he ed earlier while they're walking upstairs. He folds the sleeves before placing it to Irene's lap since it's a bit chilly outdoor, leaving him on his white shirt

Mr.Bae&Mr.Kang: (looking at each other with a knowing smile) *hoping that their is no reason to call off the engagement*
Mrs.Bae: (looking at the two for 3 main reasons, 1st they really look good together, 2nd she remembered where did she saw Irene's necklace before and 3rd she thinks that Seulgi is wearing his own brand shirt)
Mrs.Kang: (pleased at the sight of her son being thoughtful to Irene)
Mrs.Bae: Sweety, I ordered a cafe latte for you and macarons
Irene: Thank you Mom
Mrs.Kang: Here's your order Honey
Seulgi: Thanks Ma (switching his earl grey tea with Irene's cafe latte) let me have that instead
Mrs.Bae: (guessing that Irene still doesn't drink coffee through Seulgi's gesture) I'm sorry Sweety, I thought you drink coffee now that you've grown into a fine lady
Irene: It's okay mom. It's also my fault anyway, I didn't tell you what I wanted to drink
Mrs.Kang: Are you okay with that tea Irene? We can order something else for you
Irene: It's okay Auntie. Besides, this tea is best paired with sweets for me
Mrs.Bae: I'm glad that Seulgi knows something about you when it comes to food
Seulgi: I just happened to see her drink the same thing everyday, Auntie
Mrs.Bae: By the way Seulgi, is that one of your own brand clothing?
Seulgi: (became tense a bit) Uh, yes Auntie. But how did you know?
Mrs.Bae: Oh, your brand clothing is famous from being simple and unique. And also your mom told me about your own brand clothing when we're catching up about you two
Irene: (turning to Seulgi's direction) You have your own Clothing Brand? I thought you're just a model of that brand?
Seulgi: (he knows that Joohyun is keeping her cool about it but deep inside, she's a bit tick off for not telling her about the clothing brand he owns)
Yes, but I don't actually own it. I'm just a shareholder
Mrs.Kang: With the biggest share, meaning you're the owner apparently
Seulgi: *Ma, you're not helping at all* It's just a small investment. I just got curious on how business works
Mr.Kang: That's not what your Grandpa told us though
Seulgi: Pa, I'm sorry. But can't we not talk about it for now? I think it's inappropriate considering tonight's agenda?
Mr.Bae: You're right Son. Tonight is all about this engagement you two have and not for business talks

Irene: (gone quiet, thinking why Seulgi didn't tell her the truth. She only knew that Seulgi is an exclusive model of KSJ Critters not the owner)
Seulgi: (he stealthily holds Joohyun's left hand under the table, hoping to lessen her anger)
Mrs.Bae: I'm sorry for bringing that up Seulgi, I didn't know that you keep it as a secret
Seulgi: It's okay Auntie
Mrs.Bae: By the way Sweety, I've been thinking since earlier on where did I saw that necklace you are wearing. And if I'm not mistaken, I made that necklace 5 years ago.
Irene: (was about to retreat her hand from Seulgi's grip because she's still angry. But when her mom suddenly talks about her necklace, she felt Seulgi's hand flinched and decided not to let go of his hand) what do you mean Mom?
Mrs.Bae: Well, 5 years ago our main branch manager asked me if I do customized jewelry design because there's a student who visited our shop and handed a design of a necklace. Asking if we can make 2 of them but with a different color, one is black and one is white
